I have 2 small graphical issues. The shoulders of the Aston and Williams in cockpit mode. They look pixelated.

Yep!
I though I was going mad
I cross fingers to have car performance updated (with decreased Aston Martin and red bull) and drs train solved…

I have installed 2021, so the graphics are not so cool. But the sound is still impressive. I don't want to talk about the AI. F1 24 is a step backwards across the board.

If one of those issues are solved, I'll be impressed.
Race Engineer is still bugged too...
Shocking, truly shocking

I've been using this term recently in a few posts "Attention to detail" unfortunately this is something that is absent in F124.
I have started to play it a bit more over the past couple of weeks and although I'm still not a fan of the handling model on the controller, I've managed to find a reasonably good feeling to the car physics through a combination of setup and steering settings.
One thing that still grates on me is the engineer talk. Every single race he mentions the damn tyre pressure sensor.
The engineer talk definitely needs to be improved come F125. It's boring, daft and repetitive.

I've been one of this game's biggest critics, and it rightfully deserved it. But I will also give credit where it's due and say I am actually enjoying driving the handling model now on a controller. I don't know wether that's because of the changes made in patches, or that i've just gotten used to it and adapted.... But I am enjoying it more now and the car feels a lot more stable and feels like it's doing what I want it to. It's not perfect!!!!!! But it's good enough....
That being said, there are still so many areas of the game that are a let down and so frustrating.
You're 100% spot on when you say it's attention to detail. What good is patching some fancy graphics and updating an advert on the side of the track when:
There are still invisible bumps ruining races.
No starting lights showing ruining race starts.
Engineer keeps saying your tyre pressure sensors are giving some strange readings.
Engineer continues to say "There are no plans for a safety car" as the Safety Car comes out.
Spinning cars stop instantly on track
No spray in the wet (come on F1 2010-13 had MUCH better rain effects back on the Xbox 360 over a decade ago.
Store is still empty for race wear
Tyre pressures do nothing!
AI never make mistakes and get stuck in constant DRS trains
Graphics are great, but gameplay and mechanics are far more important. Why do you think iRacing is so highly regarded? It probably has some of the worst graphics on any racing game out there in 2024, and yet people love it for the realistic physics and handling, They love it for the driving! Get that bit right, and then give it a lick of paint...
Surely when a Patch is worked on, it needs to be tested and checked over/approved before being released? Is there not a project manager in place who signs off this work? Someone who finishes the work and says "yes, that problem has been resolved! it's good to go!"
This is not the first patch to be released only for players to discover game breaking bugs as a result within minutes of loading up. How do these things not get noticed in house? i do not understand!

@SDGMattCompletely agree. I think they definitely made some small adjustments to the handling for controller players over a couple of patches not long ago. I especially felt some definite improvement especially around Monaco. The front end now seems a bit more benign, slightly more linear in micro adjustments. Initially Monaco was a disaster after they knackered the handling with that patch. It's definitely a bit better but as you say, not perfect. But it does now seem more enjoyable on most tracks.
I just don't understand why they have prioritised graphics over some of the obvious and pretty much game breaking issues that still exist.
Ask every player if they prefer fixes to obvious issues or a graphics adjustment and I wonder what they would say?
It's so incredibly frustrating! Oh and please fix the damn Ferrari engine sound.
