Controller vs Wheel… Are They Equal?

So… pre the handling patch Alex Gillon said that Rasin Chy (a very fast controller player and new wheel player) was 2 seconds faster on wheel than on controller per lap. 

After the handling patch, does anyone know if this issue has been resolved? On F1 23 the controller vs wheel comparison was very fair I thought, with both implements having very similar pace. 

I really hope controller is just as fast as wheel on F1 24, otherwise the game becomes somewhat pay-to-win at the higher level, where you have the fastest controller players losing consistently against very quick wheel users. 

If this is still an issue, I hope EA and Codemasters are aware of the issue and will look to make changes promptly.
