Re: Season 4 Podium Pass helmets

I think this year has been an experiment gone wrong. I think they need to replace the F1 world items with liveries because the amount of contracts i have to destroy because i don’t do enough races. I did a 25% GP race and got 6 contracts. If thats the drop rates then you may as well have just the parts.

and with the parts actually reward people for getting to the max rank with an unique item instead of locking that behind paywalls (which unless they do like last year and give everyone some) because it means players on the standard edition have to pay £20 for the possibility to 100% the game

Pure greed is exactly correct. What sort of game developer charges you £90 for such a bug ridden calamitous game and then expects you to pay even more to unlock items that should be implemented in the first place?

It is a kick in the face to everyone who has spent their hard earned money expecting the absolute basic things to be in the game and not hidden behind their utterly atrocious paywall system.

What a way to treat your customer base!

I would really like to know a genuine reason why there are barely any helmets and liveries in F1 24?

I actually really liked the ‘store’ in F1 23. It had plenty of choice and I purchased a bunch of the helmet designs! I even bought more pit coin to buy new ones!

This year, the store is empty! The price of the items has been hiked enormously from around 1500-2000 pitcoin up to 7500!!!!! and the designs are really lacklustre!

Players have voiced their annoyance that My Team mode has been neglected, but with just ONE customisable set in the base ‘Champions Edition’ mode at launch for £89.99, then it renders the fun of the mode pointless!!

Why can’t all the previous helmets from past games be added? There must be about 400 in total over the span of all the games. Are there licensing restrictions behind these? They don’t contain sponsors or logos. Does Codemasters not own the rights to these assets?
    Just fill the store up!

I got 18,000 pit coin for my pre-order, and in addition to the pit coin unlocked in podium pass over the last 7 months, I have a total of 22,000, and nothing to spend it on. My guess is that nobody else is spending theirs either, and that’s why they’ve hiked one item up by 3 times the cost, and are now forcing players to buy the VIP tier or get nothing at all!
    That’s a poor solution…

Implementing older helmet designs from previous games would cost virtually zero recourses. Instead in F124 we have a decimated store upon release and not that many more helmets even now compared to older games.

They are not interested in doing anything like that for the customer. They'd much rather have their own outlook on it to create the worst and most cartoon like helmet designs and then hide them behind the paywall.

Without doubt no other developer of an F1 game would even entertain this system because they'd know it would backfire.

A friend of mine said after EA took over from CM that the game franchise would get much worse, he was not wrong!
