It's easiest to share a video from PS5 to a linked YouTube account and then post the link here. I play on PS5 and this is what I do.
I've just tried the first of these challenges and stars are being awarded OK, with shot shaping on or off. I'm playing as a right handed golfer and drawing them if it matters. I got one star with shot shaping on and then turned it off and got three.
I'm currently undecided if I'm likely to be able to learn to hit these properly with shot shaping on...
Just checked back and see it's two other specific challenges you meant. I'll have a try later. My guess is you need to apply some shot shaping on the shot that puts the ball on the green for an advanced GIR but I guess that's what you've done...
I was about to share a video to demonstrate I'd had the same issue but just checking the video back before sharing I spotted where I'd gone wrong. I did the par 3 challenge, birdied the first hole and parred the next two, and thought I'd used the high shot shaping on all tee shots. However on one I'd set the shaping to high but then changed the club, and this reset the shot shaping to straight. Any chance you may have done something similar @DCHessel ?
