Re: F1 2024 Sounds must improve for immediate immersion!
1. If you want to make recommendations for a game, I would suggest you do it more than roughly 2 months before release. more than likely all audio and sounds have already been recorded and implemented into the game.
2. As far as I am aware the contract between CM/ EA and the FOM requires the F1 teams to give Codies full access for the purpose of recording sounds, so the engine sounds are accurate as Codies equipment allows whether you choose to agree with it or not. That said it's entirely possible Codies has been using the same dated equipment for some time now and it's long overdue for an upgrade which could provide a boost, but I wouldn't count on their overlords at EA making any allowances in the budget.
3. Feel free to make all the petitions you want as to why they should lose the license. It won't go anywhere unless the FIA decides they no longer like money, which when you look at some of the places where we race, it's pretty obvious they do. EA has the money to outbid pretty much anybody, the only two that could make a bid high enough to make EA pause and think are Take-Two who are going all in on GTA VI right now and Blizz-Act and this just doesn't really fit their profile.
