Re: About Daniel Ricciardo

@LuckyNico92 They wont add Ricciardo as an Icon as he just isnt an Icon currently, he is driving F1 for real thus it would be unrealistic to not have him in the game at all in driver career modes..

The game as its done right now is not true to the season, not only in regards of drivers but also car performances, buffing McLaren to their current potential and nerfing Aston Martin always makes the early season very unrealistic as the results would be very different.

This will only ever change when they script team progress throughout a season which in theory could be done with "real season start" where it really follows exactly what happened in a season, when did what team have which driver, what performance etc. but for the normal driver career modes and especially a pure fantasy mode "MyTeam" its not realistic they enforce this.. Best way for those would be to let the player choose which driver should drive for Alpha Tauri, De Vries or Ricciardo and the other will be available as a free agent.

@Meza994 Sounds even better to have both drivers in the game and let the player pick who gets the AlphaTauri at the start of a career save.

Though I doubt this will be the case as I already made a similar suggestion for F1 2021 to pick the Red Bull livery between normal and white, because I loved the white Red Bull livery from 2021, and I would have loved to drive that white Red Bull in Driver Career. Did EA bother to insert the option? No, they did not.

@LuckyNico92 Drivers and a livery are two different things though as everything regarding car has to be allowed by the teams.. Besides i didnt say they would give us the option, just that its the best option, but Codemasters have often not gone with the best solution + any more changes to the code might bring even more bugs

@LuckyNico92 You keep pegging Codemasters' attitude to subjective, biased motivations. Wiping Cem "out of existence" in favor of an "even older" and not "any better" Calderon, and they "not bothering" to insert the option to choose the white RBR livery whenever the player fancies it.

Most of it are all due to Codemasters needing to carry out whatever was previously agreed upon on their deals. Following that, there's the general slowness in updating the game that affects every single aspect of this franchise.

I don't see as much room for them to act just to despite players as easily as you do.

Just my 2c, but I think you'd be way more accurate and justified to criticize their workflow.
Baffling reiterated bugs or badly implemented features at the bottom of their backlog being pushed game after game. Basic functionality on peripherals not being tested and live when the game goes gold. Inability to properly credit in game purchases and DLCs for consumers that upgrade their game versions.

And, not readily reflecting the driver market, or the relative performance of the teams. The latter obviously isn't instantenous, requiring a good deal of data munching, but both are affected by their workflow.

@mariohomoh About Cem, I honestly don't know why he was erased when he was in most of F1 22's lifespan. I heard that it was licensing issues, but what issues exactly? I didn't watch F2 last year, so I can't tell how well or bad he performed, but if he was replaced, he must have been total garbage.

About the white Red Bull livery in F1 2021, if EA manage to keep the livery in game, how about instead of giving us a low poly player car livery that doesn't even fit the car, in fact, it looks horrible and you can't even change the number, meaning you're stuck with the 33, they give us an option to change liveries whenever we want? That livery was part of the real season, so simply stripping the car of the opportunity to apply the livery is unrealistic, because this was a livery for Suzuka, and some players can maybe switch to the white livery for Suzuka and turn it off after, that would have been nice. But simply pretending like the livery didn't exist is unrealistic.

Now with F1 World, having these special liveries for the player car actually is pretty neat, because then, I can use these liveries without any worry. I myself used Verstappen's Miami livery for a long time. Really, I may hate the guy, but that livery is simply mind-blowing. Sounds crazy, I know.
