@TheRagebeardthe issue isn’t the first cars pitstop. They had no damage or penalties and wasn’t held up by another car. The problem is the 2nd car loses too much time because the pit crew takes too long to do the pitstop on the 2nd car.
When there’s over a 4-5 second gap you shouldn’t lose any time doing a double stack but the game makes you lose time unless the gap is above 12 seconds
@SomaticCoast375 I agree double stacks shouldn't take that long. Unfortunately, I can't say I have much experience with it as my philosophy is usually just to run another lap if I see my teammate in the pits, unless the weather is forcing the issue.
@ScarDuck14 you've put a lot of hours into career mode what's your experience been with double stacking?
@TheRagebeardIf I’m coming in behind I’ve learnt it’s easier just to lift off before coming into the pit. If timing it right you don’t get so frustrated as you don’t lose so much time. The issue when you double stack is if you come to a full stop behind your teammate. Which would lead to losing more time in reality. However you will still come to a full stop even if your teammate if leaving the pit box as you arrive. Where you should be able to drive right in. But the I guess the real rage comes when your teammate just so happens has a 4+ second stop. Which happens to often to random and dare I say just another game mechanic added by a mischievous dev to add forced jeopardy with obvious intentions to add additional challenges to the player. Although I can’t get to angry as most players off career will only play one play through and then most will only do a few seasons. So won’t notice these mischievous additions. I not only notice but know exactly what’s about to happen. But very few players obsessively play the game like me.
These things are just eye rolling moments to me. As I’ve mentioned time and again. Currently there are serious issues with on track racing in career modes that do make my stubble rage 😡 😂
