I certainly don't expect the old fantasy courses as they would have to be rebuild from scratch. But I see no reason why they couldn't add the Grand Canyon and Treasure Island courses on Rory built on the same Frostbite engine.

ApexHound also released a female career mode video today, in which he said he's going to be starting a new male career mode in a few weeks. The only reason he gave is because "you'll see why". Nice. He's been dropping hints about starting a new career for the past few videos so it seemed like he knew something despite acting otherwise. I was half expecting him to do a preview video with EA again like he did for some of the patches last year.

I have a weird vibe about this update, can't explain it. Everything has been so quiet from EA.

@Katybee_1313Yeah, it has been a bit weird. My assumption is that a video from ApexHound gets released early next week, and a post from EA, too. I'd expect the update to go live this coming Thursday, giving everyone a week to play it before the Masters starts the week after that.

I wonder if releasing the news of the Par-3 course from The Masters account was a decision based on the fact that the Masters twitter account has 1.4M followers, while EA PGA Tour's has 73.1K. On Instagram, it's similar: 1.4M for The Masters, 31.9K for EA PGA.

Update will be on Tuesday surely, since pretty much every other patch has been aligned with a seasonal tournament ending. Isn't that when the current pro pass ends too?

I'm not really surprised by the lack of news - usually we don't hear anything until the patch notes come out the night before the update. I suppose maybe it's unusual that the anniversary of the game has had zero attempt at building excitement.

That is awesome a new Female Career mode is coming. Hoping the Female avatar can have the Nelly Korda socks or have ability to change the socks color. I still see the black socks in the video. 

This Pro Pass ends tomorrow, so we're getting the update Tuesday. We could get some info from EA tomorrow of what's in the patch. But somehow there's no money to be made in this game for EA except for the premium Pro Pass. No marketing, no ads...

Yeah, the Pro Pass season ends prior to Tuesday. For some reason, I thought maybe they'd adjust this update a bit to get it in line with one week before the Masters. Then again, the Par-3 contest is the following Wednesday, so maybe it will still be Tuesday again.

I do seem to recall they were pretty early with some of the patch notes. For patch 9.0, they announced the patch details several days before it actually came out - the patch notes were released Nov. 17, and the patch itself dropped Nov. 21.

It probably isn't a substantial change to the career itself otherwise he wouldn't start a female character career one week before the update.

Even ApexHound could find only one female good enough to use for his career mode. Just about everybody is using the same female avatar because it's the only decent one if you're white.

@lolwhat1234I wondered that, too...a par-3 course addition hardly seemed like a reason to start a new career up again with a new male character. The way he worded it when he said he was going to start a new male character career did make it seem like something will be updated that is worth a career reset...at least that's how I interpreted his comment about "you'll see why".

Maybe it's what some of us have talked about in the past, the other courses for the Majors this year will come to the game. Or maybe, wishful thinking, even more courses than that.

It is ironic I also used the same female avatar; I can only adjust the eye and hair color. It is also surprising that a game more than 10 years ago in TW14 has a far wider selection; players can include their own faces in the avatar.

10 years later WWE 2K24 is now the gold standard for character creation. I am also playing MLB the Show 24 and its female avatar creator is amazing; the Taylor Swift hairdo is even available. If EA PGA Tour could have at least the character creation of EA FC 24 or UFC 5, this game can attract more players.

@PalomaMarvel24, it is very surprising. EA used to know that women and girls like to look good in their golf games. We even used to have makeup, good looking color hair and no sock.

One thing I won't missed from TW, it's the awful tomboy outfit they made us wear at Augusta.

The ability to add makeup in EA FC 24 and UFC 5 are also not available like with PGA Tour. For UFC 5, the workaround for adding makeup for female avatars is to use face tattoos for the eyeliner and lipstick. As of now, WWE 2K24 and MLB the Show 24 are the only sports games that has options to add makeup. The create a female player option for MLB the Show just got added this year and it starts out strong. Since EA has IP for TW series, it would be awesome if the options for female character creation make a comeback.

The game is $18 on Playstation Canada.  😕

$14 on the U.S. PS Store and on Steam, I believe. Not sure on Xbox.

The store are changing in 30 minutes, maybe there will be something when I start the game.

SteamDB shows they pushed a test build six days ago. Most of the past updates were released on day seven. So hopefully something tomorrow.
