Ghosting/speed line artifacts when using TV Pod Offset and particles enabled

Product: F1 23
Platform:Steam-PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
Summarize your bug Ghosting/speed lines/artifacts when using TV pod offset camera
What is your 16 digit Report Code? GPCK-RXRK-XXJK-TGEE
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? N/A
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? With particles enabled in settings, launch a night race or a race in rainy conditions, accelerate to high speed on a straight and look backwards while using the TV pod offset camera
What happens when the bug occurs? Low fidelity ghosting artifacts (erroneous motion blur?) appear when at high speed and looking backwards
What do you expect to see? No artifacts

If you look closely in the video at the tail-fin of the car, you can see low resolution "speed lines"/motion blur/particles/glitching that almost looks like it is a ghost being emitted out of the car which shouldn't be there.

Message to the moderator that merged this bug report into a thread in general, this is NOT the same issue. Grateful if you didn't move the bug report out of the bug report section.

  • Found another occurrence of this type of artifact, this time it isn't during a night race, but during Silverstone, rainy conditions and while driving an F1 car.

So the issue seem to be larger than I initially thought. and might be tied to the camera "TV Pod Offset", perhaps it is particle effects or motion blur being calculated at an erroneous angle?

I have only been able to narrow it down partially, this seem to only happen when TV Pod Offset camera being used and not other camera angles.

Edit: I have now been able to narrow further, it only occurs when particle effects are enabled (low, medium or high), and when using the TV Pod Offset camera.

Edit2: Captured the differences between particles on vs off during wet races.

    Zandvoort, wet race, particles disabled:

@RemWal96 Did you customize the TV Pod Offset or are you using any other specific settings that might narrow it down?

@RemWal96 I made the same findings, at least we know that this is an issue that is occurring on PC and PS5 now.
  • This does still occur on the latest patch 1.6.1006145/Steam build 11550771/current public branch.
