Re: Logitech G Pro Support on XBox - Extended Button mapping?

@rmagruder buckle up for the bad news 🙃

To keep it simple, Xbox systems has this inherent limitation at the number of inputs (buttons) wheels can use via their default data protocol. It's always been like this.

What Logitech has done is to introduce this new Trueforce SDK to provide a new layer of feedback via their own protocol. That enabled devs to cleverly accommodate those non-functioning buttons via Trueforce.

So your wheel's inputs and features like RPM lights will only work via Trueforce.

ACC and other Xbox titles can use those because they have the Trueforce SDK up and running.

Unfortunately, EA has just announced that they will not work on this feature for F1 23, but hope that it will be available on future games.

I'm in the same boat as you. Previously owned a G923 and now I'm on the G Pro. Not having these features and functionality available on release was a massive downer.

Please bear in mind that Groguet our CM is only relaying the message. It's not his call.

While this doesn't surprise me at one level, it's confusing to me on another.

My understanding was TrueForce is an SDK that sends data from the game to the wheel to add high frequency effects, but not the other way around (e.g. inputs).

Can I ask where you go the info on the TrueForce SDK?  I'm definitely curious to learn more about that.

Definitely sad that Codemasters at EA's direction would not add at least the same level of support we enjoy with Dirt Rally 2.0, which btw DOES have LED lights and what-not on the G Pro, even though it's an older game.  Go figure.
