1. No. I use supersampling in SteamVR, but that's it.
2. I don't know what that means, but I didn't change any in-game settings after the update. Everything is set to ultra and worked prior to the update.
Many people are reporting the same issue on the Steam Forums with many different brands of VR Headsets. This is unacceptable and needs an immediate fix. 1. No upscaling used, though i have tested all upscaling methods to see if it would eliminate the bug of the right eye.
but no such luck
2. Variable Rate Shading .... I have Foveat Turned off and have tested it with it ON
I have also played with supersampling inside steam VR to set to default resolution to higher scaling options
3. I have Tweaked every graphical setting inside WRC from OFF to ULTRA to try to eliminated the right eye Bug
Headset : Original HTC VIVE
Right eye bug is Present on all resolutions all graphic settings all upscaling methods
after latest update v.1.9.0 , when it wasnt present since VR Beta Launched

While you're at it, you also need to fix the reflections for the patches of ice / puddles of water on the road. They were also mislighed for each eye even prior to this latest patch as well, I just never got around to reporting is as a bug. Could possibly related to the right-eye bug. Either way, this needs to be addressed via a hotfix soon. The game continues to be unplayable...

The game has now been unplayable in VR for over a week and nothing has been done to address the issue. Come on man...

Do you have any upscaling take enabled? No
Are you using variable rate shading? No
I and many were able to use Windows Mixed Reality to play this game, and now this isn't an option anymore. Only through Steam VR but it crashes so I can't even play the game. This is so unacceptable, at least give us the option to rollback to a previous version. What a mess, this is so frustrating... - Sokittoya76A2 years agoRising Adventurer
Did you enable steam vr as the openxr runtime in steamvr settings?
that is not the point, why is WMR no longer working to play it in VR ? Steam VR sucks, it's laggy and it even crashes the game before I can play. I, and many have been kicked out of this game because of this broken patch. I'm fuming

Greetings EA and Codies.
VR was still working for me on my Quest 3 after the 1.9 update. However a recent firmware / driver update to Meta link pc app causes the game to not prompt the option for VR and continues in flat screen mode.
AMD 6900xt
i7 8700k
Windows 10
Quest 3 link cable.
Meta PC link app V68- Do you have any upscaling take enabled?
nope - Are you using variable rate shading?
Not that i know of
I have bypassed the issue doing this...

Let me know if there is any more information i can provide.

VR was working fine with 1.9 (or at least as well as before the 1.9 patch). After Oculus/Meta published the new big (firmware?) update, the game will not enter VR mode at all. Please fix urgently with Meta, as at least my headset is on the compatibility list.

big optimization problem in Corsica, during the 29km special stage, passing through the village, big lags that did not stop, unplayable, forced to quit
i'm on META Quest3 Core i7 13770K
Asus 4070Ti
HP Reverb G2 V2
Before the 1.9 update, i could start the game in VR but the graphics was so bad, it was unplayable.
Now, the game crashes everytime i get to where you choose to start the game in VR, no matter what settings i've tried.
headset Varjo Aero doesn't work from day 1. of VR beta..

Hey there,
Thank you all for replying to this thread. The game team is still investigating this issue and they will need some information.
Please, when posting remember to provide your hardware details, including your headset model.
It would also be important to gather any driver/app version information you're able to gather from your OpenXR.

Hey there,
Can you update your Meta Quest app to the latest version (68.0.0.474.361) and see if this keeps happening?

- CapPeanut2 years agoRising Scout@EA_Groguet I'm not a developer, but I doubt Meta has anything to do with the issue I originally reported when starting this thread. The issue that the Quest users have reported on this thread seems to be an entirely separate issue, so not really sure why it has been posted here. I don't have a Meta headset - I have an HTC Vive and the right eye display is entirely broken when playing WRC in VR since the latest patch.

The team is aware of the issues with other headsets. My message was mostly focused on Oculus/Meta Quest users.

Hello Groguet,
Today I tried to launch the game in VR again to see if after 1 month something had changed.
No, nothing, the game is still unplayable in VR because the right eye displays strange things !
Below is the link to the video I recorded so that you can see what the right eye displays, it would be interesting if players who have the same problem let us know if they have the same problem, and what VR headset they use.- CapPeanut2 years agoRising Scout@Sp0uny Great video demonstration of the issue. Absolutely ridiculous that a full month has passed with the game being unplayable for a good chunk of players. Completely unacceptable.
I'm on a Quest 3. This issue is reduced considerably for me if I turn on DLSS. All other upscaling causes this issue. Going from worst to best:
OFF < Temporal < DLSS
Fidelity-X also fixes it for me, but causes other artefacts since it's not compatible with my 3090FE.Quest 3 user here, v68 - 4070Ti, 7800x3d, running via Virtual Desktop.
Yeah, the right eye bug is present too. But not all the time. It's more persistent when the GPU is on high usage - above 60%.
I'm using DLSS on AUTO + tweaked manually TAA (less strong, less bluring).
And yes! This games need more atenttion, a lot of stages don't optimized, various bugs and adjusts not done.
And I don't believe that the next update will be on the end of the season...
Hi,
FYI, if it can help developers reproduce the problem and fix it, here is what I noticed today.
Following the purchase of a Pimax Crystal Light (before I used a Quest 3), after launching the game I had exactly the same display problem in the right eye => Exact same issue !
The Crystal Light is much more demanding with the hardware, and despite my high-end PC (7950X3D + 4090 Strix OC + 64Gb RAM....), with the Quest 3 and all the settings set to maximum I managed to have very good fluidity without any stutters, which was no longer the case with the Crystal Light.
As a result, I reduced most of the graphics settings from maximum, to high or medium, and when I returned to the game the display problem in the right eye had disappeared.
I conclude that even with a high-end PC that manages to be fluid with the graphics settings set to maximum, it causes this display issue.
So for those who have this problem, I advise you to lower your graphics settings, this will allow you to play while waiting for the developers to fix this problem. That said, it is an annoying problem not being able to use the full performance of your PC and this problem must be solved.
