Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Spectum 400Mb
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Run settings for the DD2. Using the recommended settings for the game provided by Fanatec. All firmware updated to current versions. The wheel always goes to +29 when centered.
What happens when the bug occurs? I crash into the right wall as soon as the game starts.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the car go straight when the wheel is centered.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go through the settings for a DD2, use the Fanatec recommended settings for the wheel. When I use F3 to test buttons, the wheel is off center (it shows +28) on the graph). If I enter a session, the car immediately drives into the wall (right), if I don't catch the wheel in time and drive it with the wheel upside down. I have gone through the Fanatec wheel centering and motor calibration and the issue remains.
What happens when the bug occurs? The car drives into the right side wall.
What do you expect to see? To go straight.

My setup is a Fanatec Podium DD2 Podium + Formula v2 rim. The firmware has all been updated to current versions.

Latest Fanatec Driver is 452

Ensure you have done the driver and firmware updates first (I know you said you've done them, but please humour me and check)

  • Podium DD1 / DD2 Base: 3.0.3.5 (NEW)
  • Podium DD1 / DD2 Motor: 3.0.0.2
  • Podium DD1 / DD2 WQR: 7 (NEW)
  • CS SW Formula V2(X), V2.5(X): 47 (NEW)

Once you have the wheel registered and updated in the Fanatec Control Panel, close the FCP.

Disconnect the wheel and any additional controllers.

Go into the game and delete any custom controller schema.

Exit the game.

Verify Steam files / EA app

Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml

Start the game (mouse or keyboard). Reconnect the wheel. Head to the controller presets and verify they work okay for what is detected.

Modify the schema and save to a custom schema.

Play.

Thank you for your reply. I followed your instructions and my wheel is still on +28 when centered. It does rotate to 100 both left and right but at center it shows 28 rather than 0.

One quick comment for others who might be following along, the "Delete the hardware-settings_config.xml" line should read "Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml"

I have included a picture of my firmware versions for reference.

So in the Fanatec Control Panel there is a wheel centring utility. Do not have the game open and centre the wheel in the utility. It's basically along the lines of physically centre it then click the button to sync the software. Close the panel and start the game. Report back please.

I also edited the typo in the first reply. I also edited the fw version (it was a Fanatec typo in the release note). Also added that I don't have the FCP open when playing (IIRC, not recommended).

I have used the wheel center calibration, no joy unfortunately.

So what does it report in FCP?

What is the DOR set to? Try the Fanatec forums for recommended settings and user suggestion.

My CSL-E/CSFWv2 combo is set to SEN AUTO and 360 in FCP and in-game.

"Wheel Center Cal." in FCP reports a successful calibration. The wheel always looks correct in FCP.

I don't know what "DOR" is.

My settings in Fanalab for the game and the settings in the game follow Fanatec's recommended settings. See the attached pics.

    Thanks again for your help.

DOR - Degrees of rotation, SEN=AUTO is correct.

I don't use Fanalab because I can't use it to alter / store the wheel settings.

The gear LEDs are correctly supported in-game for me as well. It may need a fellow DD2 user to help you. I think I've mentioned all I can that's similar.

Edit: Ensure you don't have other controllers connected, just the wheel and keyboard / mouse. Update any of that stuff (HID) and remove everything else.
