I have same "Failed to connect to PlayFab" problem. I can't play F1 22 game online or multiplayer. Every time I start game I always get message "Failed to connect to PlayFab". I thought it is something with PC or internet, but I tried those basic troubleshooting guides, tried to login to Origin with my brothers account and F1 22 game worked perfectly. Then my brother tried to connect to his Origin with my login details on his PC even in different country 🙂 and he got that same message "Failed to connect to PlayFab"... I even deleted my saved game from PC and Cloud save, I thought fresh save might help, but still have same problem...I tried these things: repair game, uninstall game, install again. Nothing happened. Then I uninstalled everything: Origin and F1 22 game. Then installed fresh latest Origin version, and F1 22 game. Also tried to play game with EA app - nothing... So now I know this issue is not related with PC or internet connection. It is something wrong with Origin account. I had a chat with EA assistant, they are now trying to solve my problem. They said it might be a bug in my EA Account game. I will write here if they'll fix my game.
- creativerayn3 years agoNew Traveler@IronGhostLT It’s a bug in the game it’s not just you don’t worry and don’t take ea’s word for it - the problem has been around since f1 2020.. the last update stopped multiplayer working, it was bad before but made much worse. They’ll point you towards connection fixes but it’s the game that has the problem I’ll get the same error as you amongst others sometimes you’ll find a race with one person in it but after the race end up in a lobby alone for hours or just get error messages. They keep ignoring customers and haven’t addressed it publicly, it’s very unlikely to get fixed I’ve been playing them for 3 years with the exact same issue. I’m only playing because it’s the only f1 game - another typical “they own the license” mess.
- @EA_Atic Same issue with Xbox Series X, have followed every connectivity guide (and I know my connection isn’t the issue, works on every other game and worked on f1 2021 on PS5 and Xbox Series X) really need some support from you guys, we pay to play this game online and we can’t do that
@EA_Atic - I have tried the following & am still getting the PlayFab error on Xbox.
- Restarted the game
- Uninstalled/re-installed the game
- Logged into EA on the computer with the same email address as my Xbox account- Logged into Origin on the computer with the same email address as my Xbox account
- Opened up all network settings on Xbox
- Opened up all location settings on Xbox
- Ensured that the time zone was the same on Xbox & computer
Is there a solution to this issue yet?

another update and there is still the problem. it s past 2 months, thats a shame i cant play onilne
Any update on this yet? I'm having this issue and it's beginning to get ridiculous now

- Which platform do you play on?- What is your current game version (you can find this at the bottom left of the Start screen)?
- What is your 16-digit report code (you can see this in-game under the Pause menu or under Settings at the home screen)?
- In which game mode(s) are you running into the errors?

Crossplay mode can't be turned on, PlayFab error.
PlayFab Error is showing immediately after login to the game.
Problem don't exist on my second user account, same console XboxSeriesX, but I don't have my PitCoins, Champions Contect Pack and Pre-Order Content at this user.

Games Mode: When launching the game, I get the "Failed to connect to Playfab". Same when I try to activate the Cross platform. And I get an error saying I could not join the session any time I want to play online.

Games Mode: Receive "Failed to connect to Playfab" when starting game and trying to enable crossplay. Can't join any crossplay online lobbies as a result, but can join lobbies where crossplay is disabled.
Note: issue occurs on both my PS4 and PS5 and crossplay worked previously and I never had this error until after recent patch.
Platform: Origin PC
Game Version: 01.11

Latest Update still does not fix the issue.
@EA_Kent Still not fixed this issue, a lot of players cannot play in crossplay leagues..

no update, we bought the game 3 months ago and still we can't play online
