Good question indeed.

This is because F1 2021 is only available via Steam for PC and Steam doesn't have EA Play Pro. EA Play Pro is only for Origin.

  • I have purchased an Xbox game pass which included EA play, while accessing the EA app, in that many games are there but f1 21 is not present, as in the title it showed me f1 21 will be available with ea play 

    what a scam really!

  • will this be the case for 2022 as well? yes we can use a browser and play 2021 using cloud gaming but thats not quite the same

    Hey @enrohcmada,

    I am not sure if/when F1® 22 will be included with EA Play (Pro), but F1® 22 (for PC) will be released on Origin/EA app, Steam & Epic. Hope this helps.
  • I have the same issue. I subscribed to EA Play via GamePass Ultimate to play F1 2021.

    Now I see that is not possible.

    It doesn't make any sense to me, I pay the same amount monthly, but I don't have the same benefits.

    Can you offer me a Steam code, so I can enjoy playing it with my friends? Otherwise I will just unsubscribe.

    Hey @KatsuhikoX,

    F1 2021 is a Steam-only game (for PC). This means that it is not available via Origin/EA app, hence why it is not included in the EA Play membership that you get via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, as this requires the EA app.
  • The technicality is 100% clear, but it's not fair. We as customers, should have access to the same library no matter where we decide to pay for it.

    For example I subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate:

    1. via my Microsoft account

    2. via my internet subscriber

    and I had access to exactly the same library, no difference whatsoever. 

    Could you make it fair for me?

    That's why I proposed as a solution to receive a Steam code for F1 2021 (because F1 2021 is a Steam-only game - for PC)

    If this is not possible, I will just unsubscribe, as  EA app it's anyway filled with bugs.

    I will save a few euros every month. After all in 18 months I played only 1 EA game, F1 2021 would have been the 2nd one.

    It's your decision if you want to keep me as customer or not.

    I thought this is a support page. My intention was to send this as a complaint, not as a feedback.

    It was already clear from the replies given to the other EA play subscribers that you are not willing to solve any issue.

    Could you open it as a complaint ticket towards EA?

    I tried to do it, but unfortunately I am re-directed to Codemasters, basically EA is shifting the blame: "For Codemasters account or games data support, please contact our friends at Codemasters."

    And this is the reply I got from Codemasters: 

    Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services in reference to F1 2021.
    Please contact EA for assistance with EA Play

    So, please support me in opening a complaint ticket towards the REAL SUPPORT TEAM!

    Tip: if you're being sent back to the Answers HQ forums or Codemasters Support by the EA Help page, I would recommend picking another category or changing the product to Origin > Can't login, for example.

    Both EA Play and Codemasters took the money from me and now they just blame each other without offering any solution

    This is the reply from the official EA Play support team:

    Advisor: Thank you for the patience Name as I have checked in your account everything is perfectly fine and as I also tried to fetch the information for this concern so we are also not have that information so in this case I would suggest you to reach back to codemaster support I hope from there you will get all the information for your concern.

    And this is the reply from Codemasters:

    Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services in reference to F1 2021.
    Please contact EA again and be sure to tell them that your issue is with EA Play. We can only help with F1 2021 if you already have the game and are unable to run it - we cannot give you access to the game.

    Later on, the same guy from EA Play support team lied to me that the issue will be solved and I will be able to play the game.

    Advisor and Advisor are the support guys, I am the visitor

    ( 33m 45s )Advisor : I can literally understand your feeling and your frustration that's why I considered your issue on the top priority.

    ( 36m 10s ) Advisor : Victor, I am afraid as I cannot commit any time frame on behalf of my higher authorities else it would be a false commitment. But if you ask me personally I believe it should be fixed as soon as possible as our best team is already on it.

    After a few days I spoke with another colleague of Advisor . This is what he said:

    ( 24m 4s ) Advisor: I will be reporting the Adviser for sharing incorrect information with you. 

    ( 29m 26s ) Advisor: You can get in touch with steam support and cancel your membership.

    ( 29m 52s ) Advisor: This cannot be fixed

    ( 29m 52s ) Visitor: is the best team not working on it anymore?
    ( 29m 59s ) Visitor: is not top priority anymore?
    ( 30m 8s ) Visitor: ok, so your colleagues lied to me?
    ( 30m 10s ) Advisor: There is no such priority.
    ( 30m 25s ) Advisor: I have already mentioned it that I will be reporting the Adviser on my end.
    ( 30m 41s ) Advisor: I can see the message on my end and I have checked it
    ( 30m 51s ) Visitor: ( 33m 45s ) Advisor : I can literally understand your feeling and your frustration that's why I considered your issue on the top priority.
    ( 30m 58s ) Visitor: So it was just a lie
    ( 31m 9s ) Visitor: ok, but he is not the only one
    ( 31m 20s ) Visitor: your other colleague kept me on the line for 100min
    ( 31m 25s ) Visitor: saying that he will fix it
    ( 31m 30s ) Advisor: I will be reporting all the Advisers on my end.

    Hi @KatsuhikoX

    Since F1 2021 is only available via Steam for PC and Steam doesn't have EA Play Pro, there is, unfortunately, nothing we can do.

    The EA Play Pro that you get via Origin is not available for Steam and the EA Play (normal) that you can get for Steam does not carry over to Origin.

    Both are seen as different platforms.

    I'll now close this thread.
