Re: F1 22 - Throttle control - Impossible for Controllers - Xbox one.

Same for me on PS5 with Dualsense.

The deadzone at the end of the trigger is huge, the control is so hard this year. Also no rumble vibration regarding traction loss.

Guys try turning triggers off..  I and a few others have found you get more travel with the accelerator

The triggers are so weak this year your pushing through the haptic/rumble without noticing.  When triggers are off those features being inactive give you old school travel.  Not great but some off us find it helps

Increasing throttle linearity anywhere from 50-100% will also help.

Then try playing around with max wheel rotation in FFB.  Try increasing it incrementally by 10-20.  It’ll make accelerating out off corners abit easier.  However increasing it to much will make steering in slow chicanes less responsive.  Personally I find 380-410 works for me track depending.   A few I know have found 440 to be their sweet spot.

Finally if using manual gears.  The meta is to stay  in high gears for slow corners.  2nd gear corner is now 3rd gear 3rd gear corner now 4th etc.  this will also help traction.  However If using auto gears you’ll have to make do and practice feathering the throttle until you have the finesse off a brain surgeon

@Oesi_F1 The haptics are there but so weak almost impossible to feel them. And that’s imo the problem.

@ScarDuck14Already disabled triggers and still no feeling when traction is lost. Definitely not there this year.
Also im running with throttle linearity, which I never had to before and also with 400 degrees wheel rotation, again something never had to. Just because this god damn ffb is broken. And still i'm down from 110 AI to barely beating 105, which in competitive leagues is a disaster.

Oh and the worst thing is, that this behavior is not even recognized by the developers. Only thing is "inconsistent ffb (PC)", nothing related to consoles. Just play a lap with the settings in F1 21 and then the same in 22. Miles different. Can't be intentional.

@Oesi_F1 Well this year anything over 80Ai means you’ve got skills. And much faster than me. My old fingers are stiff and brittle so track depending Ai for me is a lowly 80 on the slow tracks and 95 on Med and fast tracks.
