I refunded. There simply is no ETA.
That is something which EA haven't yet done for me.
Why are they helping some but not others.

They're not. I bought a key from third party website. Keys were not released until 01/07 so could not preload.
Game came on early access for Champs Edition, CM/EA acknowledged PC "crossplay" issue via forum 28/06.
Paid for EA Play 1 month to get trial, (Steam).
Applied for refund from third party vendor as key not used to even download the game (waited to see if patched quickly). Wasn't so applied for refund (within 7 days of release), Refunded in full 09/07.
I have an similar problem. I own F1 22, I have installed from Steam, I try to add a frined who has the game activated by EA app and I if I enter his EA ID to search and add as a friend I get zero results. If I search my ID from his pc I find my ID, and if I send a friend request from his computer I don't get any notifications on mine. Crossplay is enabled on both computers. This is frustrating

EA do not care. They lack the Western world's customer service. They lack the developers to fix such issues.
They lied on their marketing from before the game was released. They only announced such issues after the release where they had received pre-orders of the games.
My refund was rejected. I just got some smarkey response saying that it will be fixed in a later update.
They lack the competence clearly and understanding on what needs to be done.
When I said they lack the Western world's customer service... I literally had them on a phone call, telling them what the issue was and that I needed it fixing or a refund. They put the phone down on me - multiple times. Just goes to show that the HQ are trying to cut costs by employing cheaper/less abled resource.

Thanks for reaching out about this. For Imported Steam friends lists, it's important to make sure the Steam profile privacy settings of the friends you're looking to find are set to public.
