Re: F1 2022 Overheating my Xbox Series X

@laferrari35

Using a can of compressed air can clean a console better than other methods, make sure it is plugged out of the electricity and that you hold the can vertically so no liquid comes out.

Storing the console out in the open rather than in an enclosed cabinet can help too.

Thanks.

  • Hi there @EA_Barry

    I have done that and the following already with no success

    1. Soft reset the console
    2. Took the console apart and cleaned the fan with a damp cloth
    3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
    4. Restarted the console

    I hope this problem can be fixed soon

    I have done everything and have same problem and there’s absolutely nothing anywhere about this yet it’s only this game

  • @EA_Barry This doesn’t work! It’s only happening on the menus and post race scenes in f1 22, nothing else makes it happen, even after following all of Microsoft and your advice! Please sort it out, it used to happen on fifa so it’s definitely an EA problem.

    Did you or anyone manage to fix? I’m having this issue too

  • Done as suggested and still no change, if anything its getting worse for me. Can't even finish a multiplayer race before it crashes due to 'overheating'. Considering i just switched the console on and it wasn't even hot, i highly doubt its that.

    This only seems to happen on EA Games as well, had the same issue with Fifa 22 Career mode. Never had my series x crash and overheat on any other games.

    @EA_Barry My console has a fan aimed directly at it. I use compressed air to clean every month. No other game causes overheating. However 20-30 minutes after starting this game my fan is going full throttle and I can’t complete a half distance race without my Xbox series X shutting down. I reduced my refresh rate, changed graphics to performance, and reinstalled the game with no improvement.

    Clearly there is an issue with the software consuming the entire GPU capacity causing overheating as evidenced by the numerous threads specifying this exact issue. Would greatly appreciate a fix - or maybe everyone needs a refund.
