Very simple. You go to garage (using F3-F4), then select a car. They are divided by classes. Use F5-F6 for browsing classes. Then Show/Hide Upgrades (F2)
Select any upgrade at stage 2, it will show you how many kilometers/miles left.
Also, you don't have to drive all of them in career mode. If you miss some mileage, you may drive the race again, drive in race creator or even multiplayer.
Especially for a very grindy tasks for some sponsors.

    I was able to see it now, still have to drive around 50km

    This is pointless IMO, or maybe I am getting old ...

    I miss the good old days when all you had to do was win the race and move on
