Re: MSI GF75 Thin 17.3” Gaming Laptop?

@lolliopio  That laptop would be great for Sims 4, even somewhat overpowered, not that that's a bad thing.  The processor is massive overkill for what Sims 4 needs, and the graphics card should handle ultra settings at or close to the 120 Hz refresh rate of the screen, if that's what you wanted to see.  Personally, I'd want to add another 8 GB RAM, but that's easy to do yourself, and fairly cheap; it's also not necessary for the game itself.

If you want to see other options, feel free to ask, and list your budget and country, as well as any other considerations that matter to you.  But if you like this laptop, there's no reason not to get it.

Thank you so much for your reply!

My budget is under £1200 and I am in the UK.

I definitely want to play with high graphics and I would like to not have to wait forever for the game to load... I’m used to waiting nearly 20 minutes with my MacBook. Also as little lag as possible? Oh and I guess I want something kind of future proof. I don’t want to pay out a lot to only have to replace it a couple of years down the line.

Sorry, I’m not very technological. I really appreciate you offering to help 🙂
