"There was an error retrieving the data" Madden 25

I can't upgrade my character in fotf because every time I try to upgrade it, it says "there was an error retrieving the data, please try again later". Also, every time I launch the game it says: error, and the only thing I can click is ok and then the game plays normally other than fotf. Not sure if this last error is related.
