Re: Secure Boot is enabled, but Madden 24 is saying it's not?

I was on PS5 seemed to be server side issues. Eventually cleared up about 10:30pm

Why does secure boot have to be an issue for a game? It's a freaking game. This should not be an issue as to why I can not play this game. 

thoroughly disappointed. Bought the game, wont play. Went into bios to do what yall recommended, those settings were already enabled...so i disabled and re-enabled hoping that would work. long story short, my pc would not boot up after. went through some weird power cycle and i lost my D: drive. so now im sitting here trying to figure out how im going to get my 2tb hard drive back. Should have never bought the game. Should have never changed things in my bios. I knew it was a stupid game problem and now i have to deal with a hard drive that doesnt work. yay me. 

It's absurd that a video game company thinks it has the right to require secure boot (which has nothing to do with video games) and won't let you play it without enabling it. On top of that not stating that before purchasing the game. Well, just another reason EA has fallen from being a great video game developer many years ago to a mediocre one recently and is now just a bad game developer.

Hey Barry. What if secure boot is turned on in windows but this still happens? First time buying a madden title in 10 years and already wish I hadn't spent the money. 

Hey there @EA_Illium! I am getting secure boot issue on Windows 11 PC. Purchased the game through steam. I've attached a screenshot as well as the DxDiag file. I did have an issue with a Logitech driver that was preventing me from turning on secure boot in windows 11, but I resolved that last night. And even reset windows on my PC. 

This is ridiculous! You're telling me I pay $75 dollars, up $15 over $60, for a game, and I don't even get the ability to hit play once its done downloading? 

This is a AAA title and I have to mess around in my BIOS startup settings?! I am completely uneducated on this matter and I have to surf YouTube for tutorials and spend hours trying to understand what settings I am changing, and whether or not it is safe, just to play this busted game? 

If I pay $75 dollars, I should be able to press play, and play. This is unacceptable and I immediately requested a refund. I am not savvy enough to know how to fiddle around with BIOS settings just to allow me to play your game because it was too unstable at launch. 

Fix this, or stay in a pitiful league of your own as the only company who sells you a game you cannot even play. 

Are you kidding me?  How bout you fix the issue and release a patch not give a guide to change a setting on our bios to fix it.  Get out of here with this * EA.

I’ve done everything possible and it still won’t launch. It says via Epic that the game isn’t refundable. I bought the standard edition. Surely this isn’t the case. 

I did what you said, and the game started. Once it got to the picture of the stadium before the beginning of the game, it froze! I didn't have this problem with Madden 23!!!!!!!!!!

The fact I have to change BIOS settings to play a game is bull *
