Did you add a lot of players from free agency?

I can’t confirm the number but in a no-cap franchise I’m able to add as many players as I want in week 4(preseason). I normally snatch up players who are ranked 74ovr and higher from free agency and trade them to teams that need them for 7th round draft picks. When I start trading or if I trade multiple players the team I trade too auto dumps players to be below the 53 man roster. I grab those players from the FA and give them to other teams.

anyway in my frenzy to pick up the FA guys, I hit some max number of players. (Probably well over 99). It seems like every player I traded away, was traded but kept a spot on the team. So I was being told I’m at 65/53(with only 52 players on my roster and 0 on practice squad). I think I broke it. Every week, the CPU auto cuts players then I’m running a skeleton crew for the game. 52-12 to get it down to “53/53” puts me at 40 active players.
