Amazing how people make assumptions , you know what they say ....

Email addresses as me@ISP.com are auto filtered to stop people posting there real email address on a open forum , it happens a lot ....

if need if they write as me at isp.com it should bypass the filter

EA cannot endorse you assisting players however if a player wants to ask you for assistance no matter how that assistance turns out it isn't something they are going to block.

Delete both applications in this file directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Andromeda\__Installer\vc\vc2015\redist

copy and paste the two downloaded applications here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Andromeda\__Installer\vc\vc2015\redist (assuming you have windows installed to C🙂.

Delete both MAE launcher applications from this file folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Andromeda

To ensure you have no MEA and Origin processes running, reboot your computer now.

After reboot is complete, start Origin, click on MEA, then click download. When complete, click play.

For fullscreen, windowed borderless mode works best as it does not force the refresh rate to the maximum your monitor supports among other reasons.

Just tried this. Unfortunately, the same result as I normally have. Thanks, though.

Also tried everything here but constant flicker and black screen under full screen mode. I will shelf this i guess until it eventually gets fixed.

I can only the the game to work in Borderless screen mode. Guess it will have to do for now. 

I deleted the 2 exe files and redownloaded, made no change. But the game does run under borderless at least.

what are the command line arguments in origin to run a game in boderless, or windowed mode?

I just alt-entered out of the black screen and the game was there running in windowed mode. Then i switched in game settings to borderless.

I'm just going to uninstall and try again in a month or two. Nothing I'v tried so far has worked, so waiting seems to be my best option. At least I can still play 1-3.

ALT TAB to force the game into windowed mode.

For sure Alt-Enter. If you Alt-tab it won't take you out of full screen and you won't be able to change settings.

So Alt-Enter

You should see the game running in a window.

Go to settings>video output> set to windows borderless.

Confirm settings.

Worked for me so far. When i alt-ent back to full screen the black screen comes back.

Nothing seemed to happen when I hit Alt+Enter. Does it matter which Alt key?

Sucks to come back to the thread to see if there has been an update or an official fix announced to find that we are still doing work arounds weeks later... beautiful simply beautiful....

is the bioware syndrome coming back?
no because i recall spending 69 $ for something that works with no issues.

I play other games (Overwatch) that have been updated 2-3 times already since the last Mass Effect patch, and we're still here trying to re-engineer windows because BioWare can't be bothered to patch their game. 

Never buying an EA/BioWare game at launch again.....

Hey, Earlier on in this thread I told people that you need to close TeamViewer if you have the black full screen bug (the bug where you can press alt + enter to produce a black screen or to go into windowed mode and can see the game again).

You don't need to close TeamViewer now. I figured that out. Perhaps others figured this out already but I like to help people.

Make sure TeamViewer is open. See that icon at the top of your windows with TeamViewer open?

Click it and at the bottom it says "Disable This Feature" in blue writing. It'll ask you whether you'd like to disable it completely, doing so fixes the issue.

If you don't want to disable that feature in everything, When you put Mass Effect: Andromeda into windowed mode, you can click <-> and disable it just for Mass Effect, problem solved.

Yes it does.....I know so many tricks. Please don't treat me like I'm am amateur. alt tab to another window, such as task manager, the MEA will automatically go into windowed mode.
