Re: How to change player name from "Player" ?

Firemonkeys just fixed this up for me today (took 3 months before my ticket got processed), i had to tell them which player id i wanted to keep, they removed my old player id association with my Google Play Games profile and when i logged back in it associated my current player id with my google profile. I can now play across multiple devices again on Android with my Google profile instead of the name  Player

@Chalasai8 You'll have to login to Game Center or Google Play before launching No Limits to have your custom name instead of "Player".

If you had already launched No Limits before logging in, then force close No Limits and login to Game Center or Google Play. Afterwards, you can launch No Limits with your custom name.

This has happened to me before when I had the name "Player" instead of my custom name when my Game Center account didn't register into the game. I just force closed No Limits, launched it again, and my Game Center account registered into the game successfully on the second try.

Thanks!  But if I do as per your advise, will my current saved game of "Player" be lost ?

I meant if I force to close NL, then sign in with Game Player.  After that l launch NL again.  Is this a new account or can I continue with my current saved game ?

You click on support in the settings area, which brings you to the firemonkeys support site, login and raise a request ticket.

  • @Chalasai8: it's basically works like a separate account, so yes, if you choose the Game Center account you will not be playing your devices save.

If you have made a lot of progress on your device save and want that on your Game Center profile, then you need to contact support so they can delete your current Game Center save.

@Chalasai8 Your Game Center account and your local account (which is your current account with the name "Player") aren't synced together. You may lose your progress made in your local account if you log in to your Game Center account.

Although I didn't lose anything when I force closed No Limits and launched it the second time with Game Center working on the second try. I guess I got lucky.
