Need for Speed Heat: Loud, Distorted Audio
NFS Heat bug: the audio volume of voice lines sometimes becomes extremely loud and distorted. Linked below is a video recording someone else made, back in March 2022. Based on the caption in the video, I think the uploader lowered the volume of the recording. The actual bugged audio is much louder. I would suggest lowering your device's audio volume anyway, just to be safe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au2QFFC5Hd8 As shown in the video, the bug is immediately audible after loading into the garage, when Lucas makes a comment to the player character. Then, when exiting the garage, any incoming phone calls are also loud and distorted. I usually don't bother testing other voice lines (i.e. cutscenes, police chatter) after that. If it matters, the audio bug in my game also includes an echo or reverb, which isn't audible in the linked video. It eventually levels out to a low droning noise that doesn't stop. I've played NFS Heat, with and without mods, for at least 250 hours over the past few years. I've only experienced this issue once before, about 2-3 months ago, but thought it was just a random bug. After dozens of bug-free startups since, it's now a frequent problem - about 90% of game launches result in distorted audio. I don't know what triggers it, nor how to bypass it, other than muting "Sound Effects" in the game settings. (Lowering the "Dialog Volume" to 0 doesn't do anything. I have to lower the master "Sound Effects" slider.) That's far from an ideal solution, because it mutes most other sounds as well, leaving only the soundtrack audible. I've tried: Verifying game files through Steam Uninstalling, clearing out any residual files, then reinstalling the game (i.e. clean install) Clearing the EA app cache Deleting my old save from My Documents Disabling audio inputs (I didn't have any recording devices plugged in to begin with, but did so to rule it out) Disabling any audio enhancements (I didn't have any enabled in the first place, but double checked) I monitor my system temps and GPU/CPU usage, and the game runs at the same levels as usual. I haven't made any changes to my system since before the bug (Windows 10). I did move my old save elsewhere to start over, and it was fine for several launches. I've also been playing the game without mods since before the bug started happening consistently. Over the past few years, there have been others who have posted about this issue on various social media platforms and YouTube. But no one seems to have a solution to this problem, let alone an explanation for why this happens at all. Any insight on this issue would hopefully help future players as well.
Hot Pursuit Remastered Crashes
It was working fine for the past 2 years, but recently it would have BAD lag crashes in game. Like whenever id use a weapon or someone leaves, it would freeze. Its gotten worse where i try to start the game and it crashes with black screen and says its a failure on EAs end. Ive repaired the game 3 times.
Need for speed 2015 alone mode launch option
Hello EA. This would be my first community post. i love driving in this game, its my favourite modern NFS game I put some skeler on and cruise around, its my goto when I wanna unwind. I have racked up over 75 hours in this game. I kindly ask for 1 option to be added to this game. When the EA app is offline, this game will not proceed past the press A/ Enter to continue. Could you please add the play alone option when ea app is unable to connect? This game is 10 years old at this point and it would be amazing if you can add this small change so even future generation can enjoy this visual masterpiece. What kills this game for me is maintenance messages and shutting the game down, while im drifting around the slick wet city. I accept no new content will be added & terrified the servers will sunset in the near future. when the time comes please add this offline option. This would mean a lot me & your community.

We need a village to raise up and come forward to show EA that we want the older need for speed games to make a comeback!! If yall are like me we would all like to see all need for speed games make a comeback just in general. We need to as a community show EA that there would still be a market for the older games such as unground 1&2, most wanted, carbon, hot pursuit, pro street, and then the run all great games that we would like to see make a comeback. I hope this reaches out to the creators of need for speed. I wanted to give some ideas to y'all for the next game. I think it would be really nice to see a lot more older cars, and trucks. Not like a few but a lot like 1930 to 2000 and make it where you can race for pink slips. Players can play as cops give both sides a story that twists together. Add spike trips for racers and cops. Give the car selection some theme music and some cool background lights. Like off of nfs high stakes. Make characters including the player have a storyline background. If I need to sign something to give these ideas to y'all I will. I don't have the equipment money or time to make my own. But I have a strong creative imagination.
NFS The Run not launching in Windows 11 25h2
Hi, I upgraded my system to Windows 11 25h2 from Windows 11 24h2. All games are working fine except NFS The Run. Since then, 'Need for Speed' The Run is not launching in Windows 11 25h2 from my EA App. I tried things like 'repair'. But it didnt work. When I check from Windows 11 24h2, it is working properly. What could be the issue? How to fix it? Thanks

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a second-hand (possibly third- or fourth-hand) PC DVD copy of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Limited Edition online. The disc appears to be genuine, and I have the original serial number that came with it. However, when I try to activate the game, I receive the following error message: "The activation limit for this serial number has been exceeded! Contact customer support for more information." I understand that this game was originally released in 2010, and the previous owner(s) may have installed and activated it multiple times over the years. Unfortunately, because I purchased the game second-hand, I do not have the original proof of purchase from 2010. Has anyone experienced this issue recently? Is there any way to reset the activation count, transfer ownership, or otherwise activate the game legitimately in 2026? Any advice from EA staff or community members would be greatly appreciated. NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered
Hi, is there any chance an EA forum staff could get me in touch with an EA employee that can ban cheaters? There's currently a Playstation player impersonating me that has 2 PC alts which he use to DDoS NFS HPR lobbies (kicking everyone out). As things currently stand, it appear EA does not process ANY player report for cheating for NFS HPR which is why i'm trying this way to get things resolved. Yes i'm aware of the ridiculous 'name & shame' rule.
Need for Speed Payback (ea.com/unable-to-connect) Check Internet Connection)
So in short my EA account & PlayStation account are linked yet every time I load up Need for Speed Payback an play online after several years of being in the military and I wanted to show my Wife one of my favorite games. Yet for some reason EA Support has tried absolutely everything to help me play again an yet still nothing works at all. Does anyone have anything that might be able to help. An I mean some real technical work. We've tried deleting user profile, Internet connection, DNS and MTU changes and even rebuilding the data base and clear cache data ECT. Hello NFS Community and Developers! I want to share an idea for a future Need for Speed game or a true remake/sequel to the original Most Wanted. What if the main protagonist of the next game is Mia Townsend? In the finale of Most Wanted (2005), we found out that she was an undercover cop. It would be amazing to build the entire gameplay and story around her double life. It would also be awesome if EA could bring back Josie Maran to voice and portray Mia again! Key Gameplay Concepts: Two Sides of the Law: During the day, you play as a police officer, coordinating busts, using high-tech pursuits gear (like spikes and EMPs from Hot Pursuit), and driving official interceptors. At night, you put on your street racer gear, tune your personal car, and infiltrate a new Blacklist. Deep Story: Instead of a generic nameless racer, we get a beloved character with a personal motivation. We can see how the events of the original Most Wanted affected her and what happened to the Blacklist cars. The Perfect Balance: This concept perfectly combines the gritty illegal street racing atmosphere of Most Wanted/Undercover with the thrilling cop gameplay of Hot Pursuit. The Return of the Legendary BMW M3 GTR: We can't have a true Most Wanted spirit without the iconic silver-and-blue BMW M3 GTR E46. In this concept, the car could play a major role in the story. Since it became the most wanted car in the country after the events of 2005, Mia’s main undercover task force mission could be to track down its current location and confiscate it from the new street racing syndicate. Impounding the legendary BMW mid-game and finally getting behind its wheel for the ultimate night races would be the ultimate reward for the fans! About the Soundtrack: It would be amazing to feature a soundtrack with songs from the same era (the mid-2000s) instead of modern generic music. Bringing back that classic 2005 vibe with heavy rock, metal, and electronic breakbeat tracks would make the pursuits feel incredibly intense and nostalgic! I think fans would absolutely love to see Mia return and experience the NFS world from this unique undercover perspective. What do you think?Highly important for EA and NFS developers
Need for Speed have been in a identity crisis arguing but about what is the ideal Need For Speed game is? Why is that I realize when you don't stick to one thing and it causes confusion because we been indoctrinate to one philosophy. Here's a solution for the long term health of the fanbase and you guys make only to popular identities. Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit. Those are the two most recognizable titles Need for Speed history Most Wanted with 3 titles either reboot or spin off with Carbon and Hot Pursuit with also 3 with 2002 game and Rivals. Why not make two distinctive series of most iconic titles for you franchise every year why not split between and add certain from each other every year or two? It has work for Forza starting off with their Horizon series not as a part of the franchise but as its own.

In the next update id like to see improvements such as the following Better rewards for game level...im currently 173 and the rewards are only extra storage slots and fuel refill which for me is pretty pointless Easier alternative to climb VIP tier rather than paying, even if its a slower alternate..end of day some of us dont have big amounts of cash required to keep buying to unlock the higher tiers. Better special events progression...again some of us dont have big chunks of money to complete the full 7 days, although some are easier than others, most of the time you need to be paying constantly or use big amounts of cash.........hope the developers see this and make the overall game progression easier for all...other than that its a great game and ive enjoyed playing for about 7 years now
Racing City and Street Racing Career System
I would like to suggest adding a new world inspired by Japanese-style street racing and neon city aesthetics, similar to Tokyo at night. This world could include a small urban racing district with street tracks and a system for earning money through racing. Players would have access to different types of cars and the ability to earn money through races while developing their skills in this area. A dedicated racing or driving skill could be introduced, where progression affects performance in competitions. The higher the skill, the better the chances of winning and the greater the rewards. Additionally, the game could feature night races with different difficulty levels, progressing NPC racers, and a garage system where players can store their cars and take part in competitions. This would add more dynamic gameplay, progression, and a new career-style activity to the game.NFS Carbon Is a Great Game Cursed by Rushed Development | Retrospective

Nearly 20 years after its release, Carbon remains one of the most unique entries in the Need for Speed franchise. Between its canyon duels, drift events, expanded customization, and crew mechanics, it offered a very different experience from Most Wanted, even if it was ultimately held back by a rushed development cycle. In this retrospective, I break down the story, gameplay, customization, police pursuits, handling, progression system, and overall design to see how Carbon compares to Most Wanted nearly two decades later. Despite its flaws, it's still a fun and memorable racing game, but one that leaves me wondering how much better Carbon could have been if Black Box had been given the time needed to fully realize its vision.
