Re: Launch problems

Hello, digging through millions of tutorials, no one worked.

What it does:

-Starts a blacked out windowed screen then goes fullscreen (still black) then crashes (without any error code).

What I try:

-Reinstall Origin + .xml trick to skip EA App force to download pop-up.
-Cleared caches folder.
-Run EA App as admin.
-Redownloaded the game + the app.
-Drivers are up to date.
-Followed all of the CMs steps.
-Closed all of my background apps.
-I don't have the GAME_DIR variable so It's already "not present".
-Bought the game
-Still can't play the game, I guess you cannot refund even if I paid for this...

Can we also try the following?

• Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
• Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
• Install or Repair the VC++ files for your game (EA app)
• Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game

Hello, 

I just formated and installed a fresh W11 23H2 build (official latest build from Microsoft).

Latest NVidia drivers. 

I ONLY have EA App installed. 

The game is downloaded from the EA App directly. 

I tried to uninstall/install/repair multiple times.

Still got the same prob has before. 

I tried many tutorials on YT and this forum section, the problem is still the same, blackscreen then crash.

I regret that I can't play this game anymore, I know I am not alone but no one cares... 

(I'm an IT Tech and I swear that I tried everything to get it working) 

PC Specs: i9 13900k, RTX4090, 64Gb RAM, 1000w PSU

Thanks for trying those steps and sharing an update, To confirm did you get the latest windows updates as well after the fresh install?

Also, would it be possible to get a DxDiag file?

Yes it's still not working in April, I tried to reinstall EA App + NFS.
Everything is fresh installed, even my W11 (23H2) OS is fresh installed.
Still crashing at launch.

I'm sharing my dxdiag logs in case you want to check it out.

Thanks for the update and sharing your Dxdiag!

With it being a fresh install it does look like the Nvidia 4090 drivers are no longer up to date. Can we try the following and then see if NFS Unbound will launch?

• Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
• Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
• Repair or Install the VC++ files for your game (Guide here)
• Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues

I was able to play 40 hours when it was on Origin.
But it's not working anymore.
I'm losing hope to play again this game.

Apologies on the delay, We pass this report on to the team. 

I wanted to check in and see if this was still happening? If so to confirm have you tried deleting your cache folder (Game Folder) in the past?

I'm also having issues with the launcher. It doesn't run BF or NFS at all. And if I run thru steam, it just crashes my PC into a blue screen.

I was able to get it to run after clearing cache, it crashed at first but ran the second time. Not sure if it'll run again after restart though.

Apologies for missing this, your PC crashes with Battlefield and Need for Speed. Would it be possible to get a DxDiag file?
