How to clean-install graphics drivers on Windows with DDU
CM post update: Some players may continue to experience game crashes, stuttering, black screens, launch failures, or graphical glitches after updating their graphics drivers. If a normal driver update did not resolve the problem, a clean graphics driver installation may help remove damaged files or conflicts from an incomplete installation. Important information before you begin Updating through the Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA software is normally the correct first step. A driver update does not automatically become unreliable because it installs over an existing version. Display Driver Uninstaller, also known as DDU, should not be used for every routine driver update. Its developer describes it as a troubleshooting tool for cases where the normal driver installation or removal process fails, or when changing from one GPU manufacturer to another. Players using integrated graphics are also not limited to waiting for Windows Update. Intel and AMD provide official driver detection and download tools for supported integrated graphics. On laptops and prebuilt computers, check the computer manufacturer's support page first, since the manufacturer may provide customized drivers for that specific system. Step 1: Download the correct graphics driver Before removing your current driver, download the latest compatible driver and save it somewhere easy to find. Use the official driver page for your graphics hardware: Intel Drivers and Software AMD Drivers and Support NVIDIA Driver Downloads Make sure you select the correct GPU model and Windows version. If you have a laptop or prebuilt PC from a company such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, or MSI, check that manufacturer's support page before installing a generic graphics driver. Step 2: Try the manufacturer's clean-installation option Before using DDU, try the clean-installation method provided by your GPU manufacturer. Intel graphics Run the Intel graphics driver installer and select Execute a clean installation when that option appears. This removes the previous Intel graphics driver and resets Intel graphics settings to their defaults. Restart the computer if prompted. NVIDIA graphics Download and run the NVIDIA driver installer, then: Select Custom (Advanced). Enable Perform a clean installation. Continue with the installation. Restart the computer after the installation finishes. NVIDIA recommends closing games, web browsers, video players, GPU monitoring tools, and tuning applications before starting the installation. AMD graphics Run the AMD Software installer and use the Factory Reset option if it is available. This removes previously installed AMD Software packages before installing the selected driver. If the normal AMD uninstall or installation process fails, AMD also provides its own AMD Cleanup Utility. AMD recommends running that utility in Windows Safe Mode for the best results. Step 3: Use DDU only if the problem continues If the official clean-installation method does not work, you can try Display Driver Uninstaller. Download the latest version of DDU from the official developer page: Download Display Driver Uninstaller from Wagnardsoft Save the correct Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA driver installer before continuing. Disconnect your computer from the internet. This can prevent Windows Update from automatically installing another graphics driver while you are completing the clean installation. Start Windows in Safe Mode. Microsoft explains that Safe Mode starts Windows with only a limited set of essential files and drivers. The DDU developer strongly recommends using Safe Mode to reduce the chance of interference during removal. Microsoft guide to Windows Safe Mode Extract DDU to a folder on a local drive and open Display Driver Uninstaller.exe. In DDU, select GPU as the device type. Select your graphics manufacturer: Intel AMD NVIDIA Select Clean and restart. DDU will remove the selected graphics driver and restart the computer. After restarting, Windows may temporarily use a lower resolution, different scaling, or reduced visual effects. This is expected while Windows is using its basic display driver. Locate the official graphics driver installer that you downloaded earlier. Install the driver and allow the process to finish completely. Restart the computer when prompted, or restart once after the installation has completed. Reconnect to the internet and test the affected game again. Systems with more than one GPU Some laptops and desktop computers have both an integrated GPU and a dedicated GPU. For example, a system may use Intel integrated graphics alongside an NVIDIA graphics card. Only remove the driver you are specifically trying to reinstall. Do not remove both drivers unless you have identified a reason to reinstall both. Final note A clean graphics driver installation may help with driver-related crashes, graphical corruption, black screens, poor performance, or failed driver updates. It is not a guaranteed fix for every game issue, but it can help rule out a damaged or conflicting graphics driver installation. There is also no need to wait several minutes before restarting after the new driver has installed. Once the installer has finished, restart immediately if prompted or perform one normal restart afterward. Intel and NVIDIA both include restarting as part of their official clean-installation guidance.Sjonny303 days agoNot applicable6.4KViews3likes5CommentsThe Infamous Error Code
I was playing this game everyday until “Error Code” I’ve done everything. I’ve uninstalled it. Installed the add-ons 1st and 1 by 1. I’ve deleted cars off story mode and online. I’ve deleted wraps. Hello I am unable to access my Need For Speed Unbound save because it appears to have become corrupted. I don't want to overwrite this because i spend so many hours gameplay and progress. The game does not provide any option to repair or recover the save.I already verified the game files, restarted my PC, and ensured both the EA App and the game are fully up to date, but the issue remains. Could you please investigate whether my save can be recovered or restored from EA Cloud Save? If additional information or log files are required, I would be happy to provide them. Thank you for your assistance.SolvedNotYourKaiz10 days agoRising Newcomer42Views0likes1CommentLOST CARS FROM MY ACCOUNT

Hi everyone. I have been unable to access my Need for Speed Unbound save file on PC (Steam / EA App) for over a month due to what appears to be a severe cloud inventory corruption on my account. How the issue started: A while ago, when launching the game, I was suddenly prompted with the initial setup questions that only appear when you play for the first time. I closed the game immediately via Alt+F4, assuming it was a visual glitch. When I relaunched it, the questions were gone, but the main inventory loading screen took an extremely long time. Once in the main menu, instead of my last used car, the game loaded the default car of the A$AP Rocky's car. However, the game still correctly displays my Max Rank 300 and that I completed Vol. 9. When trying to enter Lakeshore Online, the game freezes on an infinite loading screen, forcing me to Alt+F4. When trying to enter Story Mode, the game completely glitches out and spawns me into an empty map with a blue/grey grid (the game engine void). Troubleshooting steps already taken (unsuccessful): Completely uninstalled the game from Steam and manually deleted all local save folders (Documents/Need for Speed Unbound). I installed the game on a completely different, clean PC using my account (without transferring any local files). The exact same error occurred on the second computer. This 100% confirms that the issue is NOT related to my hardware or local files (meaning the standard support response stating that "everything is saved locally" does not apply here). Instead, my cloud save file or synchronization on EA's servers is corrupted. I am attaching screenshots of my main menu showing my Rank 300, the glitched Story Mode grid screen, and older photos of my game working normally before the error (showing my legitimate progress, cars, and money). I would greatly appreciate it if a Community Manager or someone from the community could help me find a way to request a restoration or repair of my cloud inventory sync on the server. Thank you very much!bnetK555D23 days agoSeasoned Newcomer71Views0likes1CommentNFS UNBOUND start on integred GPU

Hello. I have a problem with my Need for Speed Unbound save data. While I was playing on PC, a second controller was connected. After that, an error appeared in the game. My friend accidentally pressed some buttons while trying to close the error message. After restarting the game, my account level remained the same, but all of my cars, story progress, character customization, and garage progress disappeared. The account is still the same and my player level is still there, but it looks like only part of my save data was reset or corrupted. Is there any way to restore my previous save, recover my cars, or roll back my account to an earlier backup? Thank you for your help.Solved42Views0likes1CommentLost cars and receive error code F03
Yeah hi. I have a serious issue going on with this Need for Speed Unbound game.. I play on the Xbox Series X console. So I have brought some volumes and catch up volumes, then late last year I brought this ultimate volume bundle. Now I have recently noticed a few cars from these are now missing from my story and online garages. I would love to have all these missing cars back please. And to make matters worse. I can no longer enter a free rom no more. As I now receive a message saying.. Attention Your Inventory Could Not Be Loaded. If this precist to happen contact EA customer support Error Code F03.. Now what does this mean?? And how and why was I unfairly treated with this now broken Need for Speed Unbound game. Like are you at EA kind enough to return the missing cars back to me?? And are you going to fix what is stopping me to enter a free roam?? The game is at the end of it life cycle and bugs like this are STILL happening. On the PS5, I was a saving issue. My car wraps couldn't save and kept giving me an error code. I was playing on my Xbox Series S progressing through the campaign mode, but one day I had a problem with the inventory synchronization; it got stuck in an infinite loop, So I restarted the game and started playing, and I realized that after winning a few races or doing some jumps, speed traps, etc. the money just doesn't save to my account. Other things are happening too, like the shelters are locked as if I'm not making any progress during the day, and I can't buy parts or cars. I restarted the game from scratch with a new save and it happened again; the infinite loop in inventory synchronization, restarting the game, and the event rewards don't appear, Any solution?1996Kura1 month agoRising Newcomer171Views1like1Comment- Doppey13201 month agoNewcomer39Views0likes1Comment
