I found a way to skip Epic altogether and open the game directly using a desktop shortcut, it's really easy too. (it's just a open source third party Epic launcher bruteforcing stuff).
1. Download Legendary using this link, you just need to download the latest exe and you can save it anywhere you want: https://github.com/derrod/legendary/releases
2. (I believe you can skip this step, especially if you opened Epic before, so do this if you have any issues) Open the executable AS ADMIN and check if you're connected to Epic typing the command: "legendary auth" (without quotes). Mine didn't present any issues and I never even had to use this command, so that's why I believe you should be able to just go directly to Step 3.
3. Create a desktop shortcut of the Legendary exe, in the Desktop, right click on the shortcut and in Target just add: "launch Chokeberry --origin" (without quotes). The game should already be playable without opening Epic by this step.
4. Optional step: rename the Legendary shortcut and change the icon using the NFS Unbound executable to make it look legit and you're now playing without having to use Epic 🙂
Now, just don't be an idiot like me and don't open and close the game multiple times testing this method and corrupt your save like I did lol.
(I'm 100% sure this method isn't the culprit of my corrupt save as I was able to play my old save normally. I closed and opened the game multiple times really fast to test this and probably ALT+F4'd while the game was checking my save, so a conflict between cloud saves and local saves showed up, I was really sleepy and picked the wrong option and then my save was corrupt. But do not worry, this won't happen to you.)
