Re: Need For Speed NL nissan 180SX event

I completely agree with @HeretikJirka about the car, its so weak and i wouldnt regret if i didnt have it in all stars or in my garage, and im gonna pick it last to upgrade, maybe! Rest, i looked up for dodge r/t, thats the car vin diesel drove in the fast & furious series, right? Eagerly waiting for that event. Might spend huge gold on that car. 🤓

My opinion about the Nissan 180SX Type X Fastlane special event is the races are too easy.

We can easily overtake the AIs in the races and then just cruise along the track for the remainder of the race (particularly the long tracks).

I want the difficulty to be Extreme difficulty with the AIs going hardball on us, but the difficulty is determined by our car's performance rating and not the AIs itself.

So I gave myself a bit of a side challenge and that is to takedown my opponents for $500 each. That's my way of making the races a bit harder.

I can say that it's harder to take out opponents with the Nissan 180SX Type X than the Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 due to its performance, but I can still do it. 😉

Easy? Hard to say. BNR34 was easy as well, except somewhat high last race requirement, so no use comparing in the middle of the event.

    Otherwise:

    - no story at all :-(

@HeretikJirka I do like stories in racing games, but I got to say the stories in No Limits are not that memorable.

What really makes a story memorable is creating a story with actors and actresses or with voice acting, like in previous NFS games like Underground 1, Underground 2, Most Wanted 2005, and Carbon. The way they say their lines (happy, angry, or sad tone of voice) and actions they do in cut scenes makes stories memorable.

I still remember the stories in Underground 1, Underground 2, Most Wanted 2005, and Carbon by how the cut scenes were played out.

The stories in No Limits is just a bunch of text that you have to read whenever a character is "talking". No tone of voice. No actions done by characters during the story. If I want to read a story, then I would just read a book.

I don't even remember the stories in the previous special events, particularly the very first few special event stories. Heck, I don't even remember the stories in Underground. Do you remember any stories in No Limits, especially the story in Underground?

Having stories with actors and actresses or voice acting in No Limits would make the stories so much more memorable. However it costs a lot more money to hire actors and actresses at the same time than to put text to read, especially for a mobile game.

I still want stories in No Limits regardless, but I'll just end up forgetting the stories in a little while.

    And PR?

    Here is mine progress:

    296 after day 1

    369 after day 2

444 during day 3 (includes 5BPs bought for gold so I was able to upgrade some parts to 4*). Yet about 12 hours remains, so I may increase current PR

    You're beating me so far.

My Nissan 180SX Type X has 424 PR at the moment.

Best example is Jaguar Type F Special Event - there were both a story linked to individual races, chapters and characters, new in game features and a new way of driving it was forcing you to use. Most memorable of all SEs. Trouble with stories in the Underground is that you don't play it race by race, sometimes there is several weeks pause due to forced upgrades, that you may miss the point. In one race you see "I need your help quickly" and another race (or the one after that) may add on it, but you play it several days later...

http://imgur.com/NXURrrD really again?! ... I cannot completed this race (I skipped this) because EA made this mistake again. Good luck for everyone who complete this... My friend has 430 PR, unlocked last race and cannot pass it too... The special events before BNR34 were better done...

@KenjiBurrito Why are you calling it a mistake? Maybe it was intentional. Just repeat some of the races and upgrade your car, as anywhere in the game. Have you realized that before you got to this hunter race, you passed another one where the PR difference between you and the opponent was even greater? But it was easier because of longer track so you may not have noticed and you are complaining about another one, which you fail to beat.

I admit I have yesterday bought 5 BPs for gold, so that I could upgrade parts to 4*, and I have beaten the race with PR480. Not sure though how far you can get without using gold at all. Then again, I consider my 325 gold better spent than yours 90 ;-)

Trouble with setting up difficulty is that if everyone is able to beat the race, it may be too easy. And if it is challenging for some, as it requires either good driving skills, or patience in repeating races, finding the right materials in the store and upgrading the car, or both, then some may find it too difficult, as they lack one or another. And they claim it impossible.

I would love to hear from someone who haven't spent gold at all, but upgrades his car constantly, and has good driving skill, if he were able to beat the race. I admit it is tough, I admit hunter races may be frustrating, but I am far from claiming the race is unbeatable or that EA wants to rob us.

I know that some races can be hard (it's special event) but races looks very.... chaotically. I understand that this hunter which I sent the screen can be on last day ok but another races is easy.

Races in 4 day: easy medium medium extreme easy easy easy easy easy easy easy easy easy easy... O.o, for me is something new but in wrong site

To anyone who's still struggling with Chapter 4: Event 4 Easy Hunter race, here's some tips:

    1. Use Nitrous frequently.

    2. Drift very slightly to maintain speed during cornering. Only drift sharply if you have to.

    3. Pass your opponent on the inside, not the outside. It's useless to pass your opponent on the outside.

    4. If going fast enough, then it's possible to pass your opponent on the outside.

I passed my opponent on the inside at the last corner and won that Easy Hunter race.

@KenjiBurrito Well, I completed Chapter 4: Event 4 just fine. It only took me one try to win in that Easy Hunter race. I couldn't take out my opponent though since the track was too short.

I also completed Chapter 4: Event 14 easily as well with my Nissan 180SX Type X at a PR lower than 434 PR.

I do understand the difficulty of completing Chapter 4: Event 4 (even though it only took me one try) as I seen the comments elsewhere and a whole bunch of people are having problems with that particular Hunter race. The track is just too short.

    The frustration is real! lol

However Chapter 4: Event 14 isn't too hard. It's an easy race. Your friend needs to get better as your friend should have easily won that race.

@HeretikJirka I would be one of them. 😇

I won Chapter 4: Event 4 Easy Hunter race in just one try and completed everything in Chapter 4 without spending any Gold. The only thing I couldn't do is taking out my opponent as the track was too short.

The first screenshot is my Nissan 180SX Type X after completing Chapter 4.

The second screenshot is my Nissan 180SX Type X after staging up to Stage 4 with given blueprints for completing Chapter 4.

The third screenshot is my Nissan 180SX Type X after applying all available upgrades.

However after the third screenshot, I used my Gold to buy 40 Nissan 180SX Type X for 2,600 Gold.

I'm the one you describe. The only time I spent ANY real money was at an very early stage in the game when I bought a VIP pass that increased me to level 2. That's it, didn't even bother to renew it when it expired. The picture is captured right after I beat Fastlane 4.4 (just a few minutes ago, actually). Although it was my third attempt, turns out it wasn't unbeatable even if you're the underdog. I played every hour so as to constantly upgrading my car. As with any other Hunter stages, you driving skills DOES matter - stick to the inner lane and make sure you make the jump for that extra nitro boost because you can't afford not to. Because of this, I was able to gather enough speed to overtake my opponent on the outside. And when you drift, don't go all the way because that'll lower your speed. Try to maintain like 30 degree max. instead. So, no, I don't think EA's robbing us at this.

Obviously spending all the gold you did it IS easy. Heck, you may have skipped all the events with gold lol :D

    @Kapucinus You talking to me?

Next time add a "@" and a name, a quote, or even both to clarify who you're talking to.

If you were talking to me, I only spent 2,600 Gold on buying 40 Nissan 180SX Type X blueprints after that third screenshot of mine above. I played through Chapters 1 to 4 without spending any Gold at all since I wanted to get 10 blueprint rewards and 10 Gold for completing the first four chapters before spending Gold on buying the rest of the blueprints.

I would NEVER EVER skip any events with Gold as it's a huge waste of Gold and it kills the fun out of the game. I want to race in Blackridge City, not to skip racing at a cost of Gold.
