Network Connection Issue - Can't play online!

Thank you for the link. However I have already tried most of those steps, and have isolated the issue to be with this game itself. 

I do have a wireless connection, however the router is as close as possible (about 3 feet) to my playstation. No other devices have issues. 

The server status of PS is on. The server status of EA seems to be on as well, every single time I've checked. 

My account is not banned. 

I have ps+, and I have been able to log in to every other game in my ps5 library online with no issue. This includes EA sports, UFC 4. 

My account is not deleted, and no one else is on my account. 

I do not have a children's account. 

Under the technical issue setting- 

I have restarted my router multiple times, as well as my ps5, including unplugging both, and 'power cycling' them as I saw in another thread. 

The only thing on this link I have not tried is changing my dns on my PS5, and I'm not sure how to do that, or why it would help, tbh? 

I have no problems with my isp, my connection to every device, and every other game besides NHL 23 is completely stable. 

I have purchased an ethernet chord to see if that will help, but it will not arrive until Saturday. 

However. Given all of the above, it really doesn't make sense that all of these changes are necessary for one game to work, when literally everything else works. Wouldn't you agree? If all of the above is true, isn't it more likely this is an issue with the game itself, and not my hardware/settings? 

Please help me connect to NHL 23's servers. I believe there is some other issue here.

Even though you're close to the router, it's still not going to be as stable as a wired connection. Since you are so close, can you switch to a wire just as a test to see if there's any difference?

I do not have an ethernet chord to provide a wired connection. As I mentioned above, I have purchased one, and it will arrive in the next two days, then I will be able to try that out. 

Furthermore, I am generally confused as to why that would be a issue. As I mention, I have had no internet issues, no connection issues with playstation, or trouble with any other game on my device. 

I do understand a wired connection provides more stable internet. I am not disputing that. What I am saying is that, I understand if there would be a lag/delay online, or something of that nature. However, I am not able to connect to online modes in nhl 23 at all! - Why would this game be the only one in my library to require a full wired connection? No other game do I have any other issues with. This includes EA sports UFC4, which may share the same servers as this one? I'm able to play UFC over the last few days, but not NHL.

Is it really that hard to believe that the connection isn't on my end? 

I do hope the wired connection works, and I will check it as soon as I get the chord in the mail. 

I just hope you guys are looking up other solutions, and looking into this issue.

It's just something to try that may help. I wanted to rule out any issues with being on wireless as it's one of the biggest reasons for connection problems. You said you tried most of the troubleshooting steps. Can you tell me which ones so we don't repeat those?

I restarted the game and console. 

I restarted the router. 

I 'power cycle'd' them both. First unplugging both. Then connecting router. Once that was all back online, connected ps5. 

(I have done these steps multiple times each day, since tuesday, when I purchased the game)

I have tested my connection to ps5 servers with my internet multiple times. Each time it connected, with over 240 mpbs connection, full bars. 

I deleted save data, and removed uninstalled nhl 23 completely, twice. 

I checked my ea account. Saw that it was still active, linked to my ps5, not banned. Not a childs acct. I did not see any problems with ea servers showing online, having a green check mark, showing they were active the last few days when i tried to play. 

I have tested my connection online in other games, and have had flawless connection. I have tested my connection in EA UFC 4, made by the same company with flawless connection. 

I have had no problems with any other game or service with my playstation, besides connecting to the servers online for NHL 23.

It looks like you haven't tried alternate DNS settings. Those instructions are here. If you don't see a difference, try the Google DNS servers. Those are: Primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - Secondary alt number 8.8.4.4.

I have not tried that, no. I edited my DNS to match your instructions. Same error. I restarted console, etc, same error, no difference.

The article does not have instructions for PS5, only PS4, so i got as close as possible. 

Under DHCP settings for example, PS5 doesn't have a 'Don't use' option. 

Only has 'Don't Specify', or 'Specify'

I have already made a support ticket there at that website that you link. I have not received any response as of yet (3 Days)

I made it shortly before I reached out in this thread. 

I'm not sure why it would be entitlements, both times when I installed the game, I accepted the user policy as standard, and the game was connected to my account. As I mentioned prior, I have another EA game on the same system that I connect to without any problem. That game would have similar entitlements, no? 

I hope you know, I am not trying to be disruptive, or disruptive. I have not been able to play the game I've purchased, and have never had an issue with a product like this before. I'm just trying to understand why this is only happening to this one game in my library, and how to fix it. 

I do not have a facebook or twitter to make that sort of claim, but if I don't receive response from the customer service rep, and a wired connection doesn't work, I will make a twitter to contact @Eahelp I guess.
