nhl 14 online otp drop in games

bought nhl 14 the day of the release and am a big fan of the franchise and and couldnt wait to play the online eashl otp modes. upon playing these mode ive had nothing but problems. everytime i play a drop in game and someone quits early it keeps tryin to resync with other players but is never successful and tells me the game will not be counted regardless if i scored goals, got points, or am winning the game. this is not fair that half my stats are not being counted because of this issue which isnt on my end. ive played nhl 13 for the past year with no such issue and a few people on my friendsslist say they have ran into the same problem. my question is what can be done to fix this or did i waste my money on this game and have my mind made up to never purchase another easports game?.
