Re: Need For Speed Games Similar to Old Bests (Underground1&2, Most Wanted 2005)game

I am trying to figure out where to spend my $ on Need for Speed, but I am having a hard time finding the right one with all the restrictions (Mac, Gaming Consoles, etc.) and the lame newer versions of NFS.

I am looking for a newer Need for Speed that is most similar to the best versions of the game, being Underground 1&2 and Most Wanted (2005), where you have an amazing illegal street racing story with great customization options. We haven't seen anything as good as those since the old Xbox classic and PS2 days (which is a shame - get it together EA!). Those three are constantly listed as the best NFS games on multiple forums/sites/lists, yet EA has failed to make anything similar that I am aware of.  Wondering what suggestions are for similar NFS games, or do I need to go outside EA since they have failed to make those games compatible with newer systems/Macs/consoles and suck at recreating that type of NFS game apparently. 

Final point, do better EA. In many ways, including compatibility with Mac, compatibility of old games with newer consoles, etc., and in just making a good underground illegal street racing game with an awesome story and great customization. Shouldn't be too hard, ey...
