Re: Need For Speed Payback DirectX Error

@Mano_zx

Please run the video driver setup from the following location on your machine:

C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\391.24\Win10_64\International\setup.exe

When that runs, choose custom and then check the box for 'Clean Install'.

Complete this video driver install process, reboot your PC and then try to play again.

Let us know how this goes, thanks.

    Thanks for help but I can't find that location. :/
  • Right click on Start or hit Win+X

    Go to System -> About

    On right side go to Related Settings -> System Info

    Click Advanced System Settings

    Go to Performance -> Settings...

    Click Advanced Tab, you will see Virtual Memory there click Change...

    If you have multiple disks select one which is NOT SSD (this makes life span of disk way shorter). Tick Custom Size, Set it to 4096 minimal and 4096 maximum. Click Set and Ok and restart PC.

    Enjoy the game.

    Your system was running out on Virtual Memory (stupid I know). I have 32GB of Ram and had the same error on Payback. Reinstalled drivers, swapped cards (funnily enough didn';t happen once on RX 480 with virtual mem disabled, but happens with Nvidia O_O), got annoyed and searched what the cause might be. My hypothesis was correct. Setting up page file manually solved the issue for me. Played this game for 6 hrs straight with no crashing. Why the hell would I need to enable paging file when I have ample amounts of ram is beyond me. Devs of NFS should have fixed it -.-
