This E3 Nintendo just crashed the competitors. Sony was ashamed enough to not even show up.

Now PS4 Owners are comemorating an episodic game that was announced in 2015 and the worst version of Cyberpunk 2077.

THis is truly a bad year to be a PS4 owner.

I highly doubt you read my last post. 

I clearly said I found facts that Nintendo Switch was outselling PS4 & Xbox One in Japan. 

I than posted the link to show proof of sales. 

I also said that was all good and fine for sales in Japan.

However outside of Japan the sales have not out sold PS4 or Xbox One in other countries. 

So I clearly don't know why your stressing out over sales?

I clearly proved my case from my last two posts.

Your original claim was that Switch "is a failing product in sales [in October '18]", thus EA shouldn't bother porting NFS to it. As you still haven't retracted your statement because you believe the article you posted accurately reflects the situation in October '18, allow me to contribute with my two cents:

• The first article you posted backing your claim literally says nothing about the Switch failing. They primarily reported on Nintendo stocks and how they were in decline at the time of writing. Fluctuations in the stock market say nothing about the actual sales of the console, as stock performance is based on expectations and shareholders who only care about quick profit. The only mention of Switch sales performance is sourced with GameStop, stating they're only seeing a “steady level of demand for Switch.”. Now, I'm not an English major, but steady level of demand ≠ decline.
  
  
  • Nintendo's stock has a history of dropping quite frequently, especially after they make big announcements and post-E3. [most recent decline] [more examples] This has nothing to do with actual core sales of the Switch, as you strictly stated yourself that's what we're focusing on.
    
    
  • Moreover, I spotted an error in that article, which reported that Nintendo were expecting to sell 20 million units in total (life-to-date) by March 2019 (Fiscal Year ending in March 2019). That's a falsly reported claim as Nintendo actually were expecting to sell 20 million units only in that fiscal year alone (April 2018 to March 2019). [source] The article, not realizing this grave mistake, goes on to say that Nintendo only has to ship out 2 million units from July 2018 to March 2019 (that's 9 months) and even cite another article which doubts Nintendo will hit this milestone... of course, the cited article had it right, but the CriticalIndex article actually doubted Nintendo would be able to ship 2 million units in 9 months. This heavily diminishes the credibility of the article, in my opinion.
    
    
• Yes, the sales weren't the best compared to the steep increase during the Holidays of 2018, only selling about 5 million units from April 2018 to October 2018 [source: Total Sales up to Q2 FY2018 MINUS Total Sales up to Q1 FY2018]. Look at this official sales chart:
   
  
  But, if 5 million units sold from April to October is seen as being "in a slump" for you, then what are good console sales numbers to you? If you base your standard on the other big consoles, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, then let's have a look at their sales during their second year (as it was the Switch's second year you were referring to) [VGCHARTZ - NOT OFFICIAL CHART]:
  
  
  Playstation 4 shipped units from April 2015 to October 2015 totaled at 7 million [source: Q1 FY2015 Sales PLUS Q2 FY2015 Sales] in the same months of the year. For Xbox One, there are no official individual sales, but reading from the chart above the sales were roughly 2.5 million in the same period.
  
  If 5 million units sold in Apr-Oct is "failing" for you, then surely you must also believe the PS4 (and especially Xbox One) was somewhat failing as well back in its second year?
  
  
• Moreover, now that the second fiscal year has ended for the Switch, here are the official numbers after 2 years and 1 month:

• As for your second claim, about the Switch not outselling PS4 or Xbox One outside of Japan, yes, that is true. However, the fact alone that Switch outsold PS4 lifetime sales in Japan is mind-blowing, considering the PS4 launched 3 years earlier than Switch. In only 2 years did Switch beat PS4's whole 5 years in Japan. Let that sink in. Obviously this won't happen worldwide, but that alone is really impressive if you ask me. The Switch is actually closing in on Xbox One's lifetime sales, worldwide, and that is also pretty impressive.
  
  
• HOWEVER, while not outselling the lifetime sales of PS4/XOne in other countries, the Switch is in fact outselling PS4 and Xbox One in the US on a time-aligned basis. Don't believe me? Allow me to post all the relevant sources leading up to the date of your last post (June '19):

  • NINTENDO SWITCH WAS THE BEST-SELLING CONSOLE OF 2018 IN THE U.S. 
  • Nintendo Switch outsold Xbox One and PS4 in February 2019 (US) 
  • March 2019 NPD (US): Switch was the best-selling platform of the month and for Q1 2019 
  • April 2019 NPD (US): Switch was again the best-selling hardware platform of the month and year-to-date

⭐ So, what's my point with all of this? ⭐

Seeing incorrect information being spread without any actual data as an attempt to shut down someone for asking a legitimately good question, is something I had to rectify for the benefit of everyone who might see this, thinking the Switch is failing, which as I've established here is NOT true.

As for Need For Speed, it's essentially free real estate on the Switch as there are no AAA realistic racing games on the platform, and EA would be stupid not to make a port as it's free profit! EA have already established the Switch as a profitable enough platform, testing it with FIFA 18 (1.1 million sales, unofficial source) and FIFA 19 (0.75 million sales, unofficial source). These numbers are waay better than on Wii U, and I can see a Need For Speed game doing really well on the Switch. Heck, all they have to do is port Most Wanted (Wii U) and I'd buy the game! While we're at it, I'd love to see a Sims game as well on the Switch, but for now I'll have to make do with the upcoming Animal Crossing game 🙂
