I am connected from my home internet, directly into the xbox and I've used this same internet before to play the xbox and xbox live. I've also take the xbox and tried to play on a friends internet and had the same problem. The issue began almost a month ago when I was playing NHL17, for this game it would go into the game for a couple seconds before going to the xbox home screen, I couldn't fix it so I went to Best Buy and got a new xbox but when I opened and set up the new xbox, the same issue occured. On the new Xbox with NHL18, the cover shot shows for one second and the screen goes bIack and stays black until I press the home button, if I go to quit game it reboots the xbox. I tried downloading NBA live trial version to see if that would work and it had the same issue. I downloaded the trial version for NBA 2k18 and it worked perfectly. I've tried with 3 different gamertags, 2 of them were used with the old xbox and one I created when setting up the new xbox but still having the issue. I am not using an hdmi-dvi converter. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Sign out of all but your main gamertag: http://support.xbox.com/en-IE/xbox-one/console/how-to-sign-out
Fully power off your console by holding the power button for ten seconds.
Power it back on and retry playing.
If the problem persists, try removing your account and re-adding it:
