Re: Origin keeps saying I need to restart?

Try to go to the origin tab in the origin client. Choose "application settings" and tick out "start origin automatically" with the "start up options" bar. Then close the origin client and restart your PC. After restart, login manually and do all necessary updates. See if this approach works. Please, let me know the outcome.
