Was only able to start this Apex Legends once, played the tutorial, shut down my pc, went to sleep, the next day I tried to play Apex, this error has popped up ever since:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

Right after clicking "OK" this pops up:

Untrusted system file (C:\Windows\System32\winhttp.dll)

Was never able to even get to the main screen of Apex. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating the game, repairing the game, checking EasyAntiCheat for any viruses/encrypted files, nothing has worked. My PC was built Feb 2019. Pretty sure it is not a hardware issue.

These are my specs if its even related to this issue at all:
Mobo & CPU:
Asrock B360 Pro4 & intel core i7-8700

SSD:
Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB

Harddrive:
Seagate Barracuda 2TB

Galax GTX1060OC 16GB

PSU:
Seasonic Focus FM 550W 80+ GOLD

EA/Origin/anyone help?? What is happening??

Hey there, I actually tried the steps EAC troubleshooting link a few days ago, and unfortunately, it still didn't work.
The file attached is my DxDiag.

Not sure why this is still happening! My desktop is completely brand new, and every driver installed including my Windows are all up to date!
Would appreciate a solution soon! Thank you so much for your help.

Your DxDiag indicates it crashed during the process when you read the text file at the top. Your video card driver is outdated and needs to be updated, thus it leads me to believe you might need to update your Windows 10 build as well.

Search "Windows Updates" in the desktop search bar to check for pending updates.

The GeForce Experience helps auto-detect new drivers for your video card if you're interested in downloading it from Nvidia's official site.

If EAC is being blocked, double-check to see if Origin and EAC have been added to your anti-virus exception list.

Hey again, thank you so much for your quick response.

I've checked GeForce for new drivers, but all are up to date. There are no new Windows Updates as well. Also Put EAC and Origin on my anti-virus exception list on Avast.

Tried starting Apex again, but the same problem surfaces.

I actually first looked at that exact discussion, and followed through each and everyone of them. None of them worked. Which explained why I decided to start my own discussion with the same problem.

Could it just be an error/bug in Apex that the game developers have not fix yet?

Try performing a clean boot and then immediate launch Origin as administrator. Right-click on the game in Origin and select "repair" before launching. Let's see if it's a program running in the background causing this to happen. The error is related to Easy Anti-Cheat, so it might be a third party program conflicting with the game.
