Disconnected And Can't Reconnect to Game

How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? Varies, some days I have no problems, other days it can happen multiple times

How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? While I am in a match my game will freeze and I will disconnect. When I try to reconnect to servers to rejoin the game it will not rejoin and says I'm unable to connect to the EA servers. No matter how many times I retry this it will not reconnect. The only way I can get back into the game is by closing it down completely and reopening, which then I get a penalty for leaving the match. Some times I can go a couple weeks without it crashing. But every single time it crashes or disconnects from the servers I am unable to reconnect without restarting the entire game.
What should be happening instead? I should be reconnecting to the servers and join back into my match so I don't get a penalty for exiting a game when I did not leave by choice.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure. Play on PS5 and have the game disconnect somehow.

    Hi @ThorHeckYeah, 

    Have you been seeing any error messages when the game disconnects? If so, what is the full error you've been seeing?

    Hi @EA_Kent 

    From what I recall it just says unable to connect EA Servers. And then I get the option to try again. I can't remember if there is anymore information that comes up on the screen. But the next time it happens I'll be sure to post it here.

    Can we try running through some troubleshooting to see if we can help stop this from happening? I'd recommend starting off with the basic connectivity steps from the EA Help website. If you're still seeing any disconnections afterward check out the PlayStation-specific steps as well.

    @EA_Kent I've tried all of those on either list. I have no idea what's causing it because it the EA servers are fine and my internet is fine. The issue isn't really me disconnect, it's just that when I do disconnect I cannot reconnect. I'll keep hitting reconnect but just won't reconnect to servers or put me back into the game I was in. So then I get a penalty. 

    My friend believes that its only happened during Arenas, but I cannot remember for certain if it has happened during Battle Royale or not. And I don't believe this was an issue before. So I don't know if it's an update that cause it or what. 

    I haven't had the issue again yet, but I'm keeping an eye out for it.

    @EA_Kent After playing today, I realized the issue is when I disconnect in Arenas. Because I disconnected today in Battle Royale and was able to reconnect right away.

    That's good to know, thanks! Have you been seeing this happening even in situations where the game has ended? For instance, if you quit during the match results does it still count as the match being abandoned?

    @EA_Kent Hello! Sorry for the late response. I have not had it happen like that, no. I did have the issue happen once again the other day. It was right after one of the updates and I kept disconnecting frequently from Apex and having a lot of issues. But I haven't had it since then. So it may be resolved.
