Xbox game chat bug post update 3/29/2022

Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. In game, out of game
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Trying to talk to team

How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? all since patch

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? Game chat mic does not light and I'm coming in as staticy to teammates due to not reading all of my voice --- using xbox party chat has absolutely zero problem which means it is 100% an apex problem occurred with the new update. A majority of the people I play with are cross console so this is a huge problem.
What should be happening instead? all of my voice coming through and at A DECENT VOLUME
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use and xbox and talk in game chat on apex legends

I'm having the exact same issues on my Xbox series X. My mic icon is on but barely picks up my audio. My friends hear me but pretty choppy and delayed. When we hop on party chat with friends on xbox, they can hear me clearly. We cant do this since we play crossplay with a friend so I cant effectively communicate with them at all.

@nquintero Thank god I'm not the only one. It's been an awful experience ever since the update. I even hate the fact they have us literally changing our audio to uncompressed as well because of the wacky game audio.

There is an update today. But the problem still exists, it seems we will have to wait a long time

I play on Xbox Series X. Ever since the next gen update a few days ago my mic has not been picked up in game. I tried multiple headsets and controllers but it never works in apex even though it works in xbox party chat.

Is there going to be a fix for some of us Xbox players with no mic in game chats? Would be really helpful in ranked to have the mic working!

I tried 2 different controllers and 3 different headsets. Had the same problem with GameChat not working on Xbox Series X. Been like this since the Warriors update started. Sound crashed mid-game and never came back.
I can hear my team-mates faintly and they can barely hear me if at all. Doesn’t matter what character I play or which mode.

It’s been like this ever since the warriors update. Ever since then, when I try talking with in game chat, my friends all say that I’m cutting in and out very bad. Where they can barely make out any words, I have tried different headsets, and two controllers, nothing has fixed the problem. When I go into an Xbox live party, I am just perfectly fine, but as soon as soon as I try in game chat, it’s back to being impossible to hear.

everyone who owns an xbox series s-x has this problem since the last update " nex-gen" .
