A bad experience on EA help.
I don't know if this only occurs to me or a common issue so I decided to post it here for EA to perhaps make further improvements. Here's how everything happens.
1. In the beginning, it was just my steam account got hacked and consequently my linked EA account got banned as well, which is my fault.
2. I reached out to EA help (loading always takes a long time, hmm okay) to unban my account because at that time I can't even play any other EA games on steam. I submitted screenshots, timelines, and everything I can think of. This case went smooth. My ban got overturned a few days later.
3. Then I started another ticket to solve my steam connection issues (because my account got linked to the hacker's EA account which I cannot unlink from my end). In this one, I'll have to wait until the DM pops up to provide infos for verification. If I missed the chat window, the case would be closed and then I'll have to start all over again. I didn't know this so I misse the first chat, but luckily I restarted the case and caught it at the 2nd attempt.
4. That being solved, I can link my steam to my ea account but all of a sudden my verified email has been changed??? I was using hotmail. I mean, imagine if my original email is [edit: email address removed], then when this ticket is solved, it's changed to [edit: email address removed], . That email address is not even registered, how is it possible to become a verified email unless it's manually changed??? I started a ticket but sorry I couldn't stick my eyes right on the same window consecutively for dozens of the mins so I missed the DM. Since this time, I tried to restart my ticket, and start another one, but some of the tickets began to disappear. But I thought well at least I can play my EA games on steam so I decided to just leave it there.
5. A few days later I wanted to play APEX. First time I start the game after all my tickets and stuff, I found I'm still banned from the game.
Alright, patience. let me start another ticket to check what's wrong. Oh wow, my case just disappear half an hour later? I couldn't find it anywhere I don't even receive an email clarifying why my submitted tickets don't show up any more.
6. I went back to check my account status. Surprisingly, the ban that has been overturned around 1 month ago, now become ACTIVE again. Wait, isn't it ridiculous? I NEVER PLAY APEX FOR THE PAST MONTHS. What turns my ban active again??? I changed my pw and started 2-factor verification after the incident last time so I believe this is not because of another hack.
Now I'll have to spent hours dealing with the cases and DMs, and I'm not sure if it will work this time.
Not mentioning the fact that the page loads super slow, that I'll have to keep refreshing the page to keep an eye on the DM window to pop up. Spent days to fix this but eventually it's back to an active ban.
I can't help thinking probably it's just all waste of time. If this is not fixed, I'll have to give up apex or my many yr old EA account, register a new one or even "buy" a third party apex account, which is a dilemma that faced by only real person player.
I wish I were using a bot account so I don't have to worry about taking my account back.
This is such a frustrating experience on EA help.
Apex is a great game. EA games are real fun. But EA help ruins them all.
