First of all, this game has ZERO regional prices, which means I paid A LOT (and I mean A LOT) for the little I purchased.

Now, out of nowhere, they come out with a "solution" for their cheating problem that has already been proven to not work at all (if anything this makes it worse because I can see Linux players using virtual machines or installing windows to cheat nonstop in the game in retaliation).

GTA 5, League of Legends, Valorant... And now APEX. There might be more, but there are some "windows only" games that are PLAGUED by cheaters and you will find cheaters every couple matches, sometimes even multiple times in a row (specially in Apex, since there are 12~60 players in every game, so you will always face a cheater).

Anyway, this crappy solution won't work and now all the stuff I bought is inaccessible. I don't want to buy windows (or even use that malware disguised as OS at all), which is also very expensive, to play a game that gives no value to it's players since they are clearly not trying to solve the cheating problem at all.

Let's talk. I'd like to see +44.00 BRL on my steam account, please. You guys can delete my account if you want after that.

Don't want to play a game that lies to their players just to make their image a little bit better.

For EA: Good job crucifying an entire section of your player base for no reason.

For anyone reading this: I died so you could sin. Keep cheating.

That's why I'm asking to be grandfathered in.

There are many reasons, but here are the biggest ones from my time using Nobara OS:

1. 1% lows are better on linux, giving every game a smoother feel, especially apex.
2. No micro sutters or screen tearing issues that I had on Windows. Micro stutters every 5 or so seconds that made the game extremely frustrating to play sometimes.
3. Microsoft doesn't respect their users and is forcing spyware onto their computers through copilot and recall.
4. Dual booting is a major nuisance on top of the fact that when I did used to dual boot, windows deleted the boot partition for Nobara.
5. Linux is faster, more responsive and has native support for higher polling rate devices.
6. I simply just prefer Nobara over windows.

I'm so frustrated. I made the permanent switch from Windows to Linux when Proton got great. Apex ran better on Linux than it did on Windows. I could play on my Steam Deck, life was good. 

Now this? I've got a couple of thousand hours of gametime, I've bought the fun shiny things, and now I can't access it unless I use Microsoft's garbage and glorified malware being paraded around as anti-cheat?

EA/Respawn, stop being lazy. Pay more people to investigate cheaters. Use other methods to ban cheaters, because at the end of the day, for some reason, these cheaters are going to continue to cheat. Banning on OS just alienates those of us that don't want to have to pay for and install a specific OS for just one game. 

Obviously I'm done with Apex for now. Nobody will miss me and I don't need to announce my departure, but I feel strongly about this and I'd rather voice my upset than just be silent about it.
