This makes crypto players never use their guns in firefights, I see this as an aspect to crypto that fundamentally severely harms the character and is likely one of the main reasons why he has such a low pick rate, you’re simply not playing apex legends, you’re playing crypto drone piloting simulator.

Therefore, my solution is very simple: remove the drone’s ability to scan while being piloted, and as it would get taken out almost immediately if you were to park it, increase the scan range to 50. It's a shame though that the developers are so incredibly afraid of making the drone harder to spot. I’m pretty sure most of them play on console, and they want to keep console as noob-friendly as possible, but I think it’s harming crypto’s potential.

And then there’s all the awkward weird side-buffs that the developers have given the drone, such as picking up banners, respawning teammates and scanning beacons. This severely harms game consistency and is something that might make crypto stronger, but it’s just awkward bad game design. He becomes a weird exception to the core rules of apex only because the developers are too afraid of buffing his fundamental drone related mechanics.
