You are telling me you only have to wait 2 minutes? If they pick up your banner it is much longer than that. Nice try bud. Why dont you Go try and defend broken mechanics in fallout 76 next time. You might have better luck. You are toxic

this * is getting annoying tho, i was just in a game and the whole team was wiped, and somehow i still get penalty for leaving? i was even the last one alive, not the first time this * has happened and now i have to wait 4000 minutes to play again? its a free game and people with half a brain will just make a new account, so why the * is this even a thing? abandon match and give - rp, the timeout penalty is way too severe; especially when its * up like it is now and dukes out pain where none is needed.

at first i thought this abandon penalty was fine 

but holy *, it was getting out of hand.

I at first left the game because the two other teammates had left , i thought i was in the clear then i got 5 minutes penalty
then a few game down i queued into a "RANKED MATCH ALONE" then i decided this was a no go situation

only to get a 20 minute penalty for leaving a match when i was matched up ALONE

Yall should make at least some criteria for being able to leave the match without any punishment

but to punish irregardless is like

the cops shooting everyone on sight but its fine since they know got the bad guys too

@Quietchisel  had you just played that game you would have lost no points though nor would you have recieved a penalty of any kind.

This penalty has been around for a while now, i'm really not sure why people are struggling with it so much as it's a pretty basic concept.

Also you should'nt get one if your squad is almost dead like 2 people eliminated last man is down getting circled and shot at his sheild or when the last guy is all the way across the map or not gonna revive because they don't care to for some reason I shouldn't have to keep sitting out the game longer just because I forgot it was a ranked match when I went back to the lobby to start a new game

I actually think the penalty is very flawed and shouldnt be implemented until fixed. Recently i got a penalty for leaving the game after my squad got wiped and i was killed but didnt think that id have to wait a couple seconds longerbefore i could just click the leave option. It gave me a 359:00 penalty. This means 4 hours off the game. I got kicked off around 3 and its now 8:30 and its giving me another 30 minutes so eother the timer hasnt been counting down or its glitched and that means ive been unable to play anything for hours and thats flawed. Why the hell would they put a penalty on every game mode why not just ranked? I uninstalled the game and i will not be supporting them anymore this isnt fair and isnt a game i wanna be playing cautiously. 

Your closed minded and cant understand the genre of essence that apexs bring to gaming. If ranked was fixed properly and they didnt hang on the word of others just to appease the thought of other companies not doing so then having a downward projection in the longevity of their game. If it was so so easy to drop ranked and played pun that be great but they jacked that up to!! They implement far to many things before their full outlined and tested on a large scale. 

         In the very begging they made a statement in other words outling their projector of having people new to the game not having to. Learn a whole new skill base just to keep their head above water everytime the decided to play their wouldnt be major changes. Yet of course they make major changes that effect the community.  The community that brings in revenue in various ways for the company

Listen man just because the game has a penalty doesn't mean its the "end" of the game at all. This feature allows us to keep the required amount of players in game. Do you think that it would be cool to have a duo/solo team that stuff sucks, this feature will keep are teams even and not have the "pro" or "noob" players leave the game just because of your teammates skills either way this is a good feature athough i am not a big fan of the time they put up for it, it should stay.
