what can I do to prevent getting banned for harassment or other "bad behaviour"

All of this is for apex legends Like it says here as I want to make sure that I don't do anything that could potentially get my account banned. I still want to communicate though but am worried that...

    Hey @GimmyYourMilk those examples you shared have not got anyone banned. 

    If you are rude or abusive towards others then you risk action being taken on your account. 

    Simply chatting away and having fun will not.

It really makes me wonder if parents even bother to teach kids basic manners anymore, or why else would anyone even have to ask this question?

Essentially, keep your communication to basic in-game situations. Don't let your frustration get the better of you. And don't let anyone else's toxicity drive you into a state of "they said it so I can say it too." Anyone you play with could at any time have their voice-to-text turned on and be able to provide proof of anything you say. Keep it polite. Keep it constructive. Don't say anything you wouldn't say to your own grandmother.

@reconzero This is excellent advice. I had a situation in a gun run tonight where a toxic player kept harassing me in chats. I almost got angry and lashed out, but instead I reported the player for inappropriate chats. Hopefully the game will take the appropriate actions. Sometimes it's tough, but you just have to force yourself to not say anything back, and report them to the game instead of "taking the law into your own hands."
