AMD Phenom Crash to Desktop after choosing training or matchmaking :(

    We appreciate your patience while this was brought to EA and Respawn's attention.


    Apex Legends cannot run on PCs using an AMD Phenom (or older) processor. We’re sorry if this means you can’t play with your current PC (trust us, we want you to play the game as much as you do).     We want to thank everyone who has posted their Dxdiag reports here, they will help us investigate this issue.

    It is fairly clear cut at this stage what the issue is but at this time we are waiting for confirmation on any steps we may take.

    As soon as we have solid info we will post here again with the news. Thanks again.

      Yes, really appreciate the quick response. Had the same problem in black ops 4. And it took about a week for them to acknowledge the issue. And weeks before it got fixed.

      Same Issue with my AMD FX-6300 .. I saw that lots of AMD FX users has this problem too.. The game works then sudden freeze and says that I lost my connection..

      GeForce GTX 960
      AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core
      8GB ram

      Thats my dxdiag... Hope to play soon

    Yes same problem system: Amd a-10 5650 ,HD 8970 ,12 Gb RAM ,win 10 64 bit

    All this time I thought it was an OS problem. Guess it's a problem specific to older AMD cards.

    I'm on a Phenom II x4 955. Suffering from the same problem where it crashes to desktop. Hopefully they release a patch soon.

      They wont release a patch for this community manager of EA said it clearly that the dont want to spend time of fixing this...

      Dear Blueberry, provide us with evidence that it was EA and Respawn who said this. I do not believe in this lie, because my AMD authlon II X4 processor supports all new games and games with more demanding features, Destiny 2, BO4, BFV, etc. And the fact that it's just a game that really came to me, but it crashes, I do not think that this is an unsolvable problem. EA, you were defeated again, you again caused hatred and you lost the players again, I say this as a veteran of Titanfall 2 and many parts of the BF series. And if you want a riot, you will be a riot. At this point I said everything. Dear player from the Russian community.

    Well I tweeted a ton of devs at @respawn in the hope that it will make something happen.

    If even one coder at respawn thinks it can be fixed we could be helped. 

    This game is so amazing, everyone deserves to play this

      I'm having the same Problem.... we need a patch right now.... only because i have an AMD Phenom doesnt mean i have a * PC

      Welp. Waited long enough. One month is way too long for fixes that normally took 1-2 weeks to implement. Clearly Respawn doesn't give a damnt about AMD Phenom users. Won't give a damn about them. Not buying anything from EA too. Good job 🙂 Time to uninstall origin since it's more of a farse than a game and game platform. GG boys!

      the AMD PHENOM processor has enough performance power for this game are they ignoring thousands of pñayers around the world just for an SSE3 instruction ? DESTINY 2 released a patch to fix this
