I recently hit level 500 while playing Apex Legends but I just realized I was reverted back to level 1. Is this an intended feature? If it is a bug could it be please be fixed?
I even have the charm as proof I was 500.
This is an intended feature; this is how apex levelling works. Your first level is up to 500 (0 prestige) then you are reset back to level 1 (1st prestige) then once you reach level 500 in 1st prestige you are reset back to level 1 again (2nd prestige) then again when you reach level 500 in 2nd prestige you are reset back to level 1 again (prestige 3) and then finally you reach level 500 in third prestige which is the final level as of right now. (Think of prestige as tiers, each time you reach level 500 in a tier you go to the next tier, level 1 and tier or prestige 3 level 500 is the max level).

Simply put, the new level cap in Apex Legends is effectively 2000. You can loop through levels 1-500 4 times.
FYI the total number of packs you can now earn, through leveling up 2000 levels, is 544 packs. That is a guaranteed heirloom.
