Need Clarification on Cross Progression

According to the official cross progression page "Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged."

EA Account 1: PSN

EA Account 2: Steam

1. This says accounts CREATED after 10/26. It doesn't say anything about linking existing accounts to my EA account after 10/26. There's conflicting here about which one it is. Please confirm which it is.

2. EA reps keep saying the "progress/content" is tied to the EA account. What is content? Are skins and heirlooms considered content? All I care about is merging those 2 things.

3. If the cross progression notification happened on my account, can I still link unlink steam from Account 2, link steam to account 1, and get all my skins merged?

As long your PC and Xbox account are on the same EA account, you should be able to access your PC progress on Xbox.
Cross progression will roll out in waves, there is no way of knowing when it's your turn to get cross progression.
The next wave will be on Nov 6, their goal is to roll out weekly waves from that point on.

Progress will only be merged once, accounts can always be linked after this merge.
So if you have progress on Xbox and PSN, once they merge it will become a shared account with the same progress.
If you decide to link a Steam account after this merge, then it'll be merged with that shared account, allowing you to play on Xbox, PSN and Steam with the same progress.

If you have 2 separate EA accounts then cross progression will only work between platform accounts on the respective EA accounts they're connected to.
Relinking a platform account from one EA account to another will not bring over it's data, so if you don't want to lose any data then you cannot merge those 2 different platform accounts.

This is good feedback. My Apex account on my PSN is pretty old, not "Founders" old but like 5 years at most old, I switched to xbox last year I believe, played maybe like 4 games then never logged back in because I didnt want to rebuy all the things I already own on xbox (the skins cost 25 bucks per skin, and I own everything since the day I joined.) I double checked my accounts on both xbox and psn to make sure they were linked together, they are. I just want to know if I even qualify I don't like this anticipation because I 100% will never touch my PS5 again, the Xbox has ran smoother for the games I play and I prefer the controller layout better and I have 6 heirlooms(lifeline, wraith, bloodhound, loba, valk, and horizon) , everyones skins except the newest character this season and a lot of emblems for previous ranked games. Not to mention I'm 70 levels higher on my main account. So obviously that grind alone was EXPENSIVE. any real guidance would be respectfully appreciated.

  • Will it matter wich platform I log into? For example I had PlayStation but then got a pc and don’t have a PlayStation  anymore my PlayStation account was almost max level so clearly the higher account but I can’t log into it .. will I still get the prompt on my steam account t

  • So this is my situation. My main account that I’ve used since season 1 is on Xbox. I understand that I’ve made a new steam account and linked it to the Xbox EA account, and once I do get cross progression I’ll be able to access my Xbox stuff on pc. But will stats such as kills and stuff and badges transfer over too? Like will it be my exact Xbox account I’ll have on pc or is it just content?

  • @mattshep1

Yeah? There shouldn't be any problems with cross progression. Kills stats, badges will transfer from the account with the highest level so in your case the xbox 🙂
  • I have 2 separate EA accounts, one for my Steam and one for Xbox. I don’t really care about my progress on pc, I just want my skins and heirlooms from my Xbox on my pc. If I unlink my steam account and re-link it to the ea account with my Xbox, will my progress on both accounts be lost or only my steam, and will cross progression work properly?
  • I have all my progress on my ps4 account. Rare skins and more from and since season 1. What I want to know is, if I'm signed in on ea through my playstation account will I still have the option to merge that account to my pc.
