New Update crashes without launching (not a directx12 option issue)

New Update crashes without launching (not a directx12 option issue). I have older hardware so that might be part of it but here are the things I have tried:

ON STEAM:

- directx 12 option

- directx 11 option

- removing all launch options

- verifying game files

EA app version:

 - tried launching the default way on ea app

- tried launching all the .exes in my install folder apexlauncher, r5, r5_dx12,start_protected but all of these end the exact same way with just closing.

other

- flushing dns

- reset my nvidia shaders cache

- changing random nvidia control panel settings

NOTHING WORKS

The small rectangle splash screen pops up for 15 seconds or so and then just closes and nothing happens. I have closed sharex, discord, powertoys and everything running in the background that might be considered to be a problem. I have removed autohotkeys in the past because apex didn't like that but I am not even getting an error message this time, just closes. It had been running just fine before the update. I have tried the suggested fixes from both the devs and the community but that doesn't seem to be my problem.

Is there anything else I should try or just wait for a patch?

    Im running a 3080 super and still get crashes when playing the game. Ive literally never had game crashes in apex prior to the recent update. Ive been playing apex on PC since 2021

    Hi @EA_Mako. Has there been any update on this? My friend also has a GTX 660 and the exact same issue. Splash screen and then the steam button goes back to "Play" No errors on either dx11 or dx12. Neither work. The game just closes. 

    I see the issue is under investigation but is there any update as to what is going on?

    I’m getting EasyAntiCheat cannot bypass IO kernel error every two hours of playtime, on the dot. I’m only crashing to desktop(steam page, origin page) no BSOD,no pc restarts, etc. I’ve gone through an entire list of troubleshooting steps for weeks. I’m not OC gpu nor CPU, I turned off all overlays, etc.

    The latest update has not fixed the crashing for me, it will warn me to not launch in dx12 and to use dx11 but even with dx11 it still crashes in the same way it was a month ago. Should I just assume this isn't ever going to get fixed at this point? Considering it's been a over a month.
