Power Cycle
Continuing to do a test now but the current problem:
Apex is, without fail, power-cycling my PC. It is currently installed on my boot drive SSD so I am re-installing on a non-boot drive and try to replicate the problem.
I have haven't encountered a power-cycle while running Battlefield 5 which is also on my boot-drive.
No power-cycle for the following either:
Arma 3
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Battlefield 3
Battlefield 4
Counter-Strike: GO
Hitman 2
