I feel like i am running out of options and am creating this as a last resort.
I have been wrongfully banned by EA for what I can only explain is a 'mess' of a situation.
No, my account was not hacked. No, I do not cheat. No, I have not broken any rules.
However, my account has been permanently banned for 'cheating' in Apex Legends.
Which is not the case. After 6 months trying to contact EA Help and asking for reviews, evidence and any form of explanation I have finally found a number and managed to speak to a human being.
EA have not sent me a personal email response or called me in any of my call request.
After speaking to someone I now know my account has been banned for a 'disputed payment' and 'fraudulent transaction'.
This is again, not the case either.
In January I made the switch from Origin to Steam in order to play Apex Legends. Something I prefer as I have a rather 'nice' steam account.
After beginning to play Apex on Steam, I sold a CSGO skin for a value over £100 on the Steam community market. I then proceeded to use the £100+ credit to buy coins and passes for Apex Legends. In the space from January to February I made 4 purchases through Steam for Apex coins and passes. These transactions are still showing as deducted from my steam wallet and no claim or dispute has been raised by my part.
I have sent screenshots and proof of this to EA, but continue to be ignored by their customer services team.
To the point today, I had the phone call hung up on me when I simply asked them to put me through to someone who can actually resolve the matter but was told the 'service team do not have telephones at their place of work', which I can only assume is a lie.
This has been ongoing for over 6 months with EA.
Numerous cases opened to dispute my 'cheating' only to find out 6 months ago the website is actually wrong. I was not banned for cheating (because I don't cheat.) and actually it is regarding a dispute that I NEVER raised. I have even made clear if there is an outstanding payment for a product I actually purchased that I was happy to make payment at once.
As mentioned, my account was not hacked. This has got something to do with the payment going through steam instead of through my normal payment method (saved card details on origin application).
I am begging for someone, a human, who works at EA to respond and help me resolve this matter.
6 months of being ignored and treated as unimportant is not fair. Not after 10 years playing on this EA account and thousands of pounds (£) spent on this game.
Please.
